He is just a boy. Might not be doing the sensible things, but does not mean an adult can kick him.....

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

The ball "boy" is 17 years old. And the newspapers have reported that he tweeted before the game that he would be stationed behind the home goal because he was "needed for time wasting". Ridiculous.

Hazard was foolish and can't complain about getting a red (although I think what he really did was only to toe poke the ball out from under the boy - the boy then feigned injury). But irks me that the boy gets away scot free with cheating. Apparently it was also the last time the boy was going to be a ball boy, so he knew there was no threat of being banned from future duty, etc.

That only Hazard is punished is an ever worse example to young kids than his actual behaviour.

Re: The Barclays Premiership / Champions League Thread

The boy is son of Swansea chairman.

Hazard is lazy la. Should've used hands to take the ball instead of using leg to kick.

Surely Hazard did not know that the ballboy has harboured funny intentions when he kicked him?

Post mortem analysis of the boy's intention should have little bearings on Hazard's thought process when he did it.....

My point is that the boy is also to blame for provoking the incident, and it's clear that he had intended to waste time if given the opoortunity. Whether Hazard knew that is irrelevant - but it shows that there was some justification in Hazard's frustration with the boy's behaviour.

BTW I'm not even a Chelski fan...just find it really irritating and unfair that the party who started the whole thing gets away with nothing, whereas Hazard is being vilified in the press as some kind of bully.
