And carrick is not as good as used to, his long range passing was missing

Since Keane left, there is no one filling his shoes..... not Carrick, Anderson, nor Fletcher (although he has the attitude)..... and not Hargreaves...... no chance to prove.

Back then, Gattuso would be one candidate.

Arsenal lost Vieira, same issue. No stability in midfield => shaky defence.

Chelsea has the perfect replacement in Essien for Makelele....
