Hi all, I have just checked all my tires. the dept of the tread is about 3mm. Isn't time to change tyre or I still can "tahan" for couple of months??

Thanks

Re: Time to Change Tyres??

Until tread wear indicator is 1.6mm so if your tire reaches 2 or 3mm left better to change. i believe your side already botak or going to botak although centre tread still have 3mm left. ;)

Re: Time to Change Tyres??

Tyre is the only contact btw car & road. It is individual decision to change or not.

I change tyre every 2 yrs regardless of tyre wear. The last set i change still got more than 3mm thread.

Re: Time to Change Tyres??

Yes. It is definitely an individual decision. For me, I try to observe the car's behavior during rainy days. If I sense a lot of unintended wheel spin, or slight amounts of hydroplaning or aquaplaning on expressways, it's time to change.

Re: Time to Change Tyres??

Hi, I was told that a brand new tyre's tread is 8mm. After doing some calculation. My tyre left about 37%. I think is time some me to source for tyres to replace.
