Touch-up scratches

Re: Touch-up scratches

Hi ! Ken.

I totally agreed with you :)

This is why I only visit Ah Boon :)

As for the price quoted by Ah Boon is much cheaper compare to Mike. This is my personal experience.

All I can say Ah Boon workmanship is very good :)

I have nothing against Yew Lip and Mike too.

Just want to share my experience.

One thing for sure Ah Boon PR is not as good as Angie :(

Cheers :)

(1) The worse the damage, the more you should go for Mike and Ah Boon.

(2) The more you can afford, the more you should go for Mike and Ah Boon.

(3) The more you love your car, the more you would wanna go for a complete paint, not partial.

Do u mind sharing where is Mike and Ah Boon workshop located????

Thanks bro............ :)

Don't think so. I needed to get a small bumper job done at Yew Lip and was advised by Angie that if I spray localised area only, the difference will show in 6 mths. Not sur eif it is becoz my ride is black in colour. To make it less noticeable, she recommended spraying half the bumper. So best solution will actually be to spray the whole bumper.

I am juz gonna use touch-up paint and leave the rest to Cazcomp (the guys who Zaino my ride to see if they can grind and polish away). Respray will be last option. Full day respray too time consuming for me and I need my ride.:)

Bro what you mean by touch up paint? Since i lowered my ride accidentently left some minor scratches on my bumper. Spray whole thing not worth it. Looking for a paint and just dip and paint on the small dot. Got such a thing?

Thanks Man!

Re: Touch-up scratches

The idea to respray is cannot tahan the scratches. To save money and do "localised" and have the mark appearing in the near future will cost more money for another touch up job

That's why I respray the whole bumper

Yew Lip quoted :
S$100 for localised
S$200 for respray

Sin Wee Chuan quoted :
S$250 for respray

Opted for SWC becos
- nearer to my place
- better service as Mike drove my ride back to my home when I were overseas
- maybe never meet Angie ....

Bro,

Pls see Yendor's description below. I ordered the one for my paint code. If not in stock, PML may need 3 weeks. Abt $19. I have not collected it but once I do, planning to ask the groomer to touch up for me, then polish and then zaino. Hopefully a cheap remedy there. I will take some before/after pics when I get down to doing that.

Re: Touch-up scratches

Andy, i bought the touch up paint too. Comes in a box with a bottle of colour pigment and another bottle of clear lacquer. If your paint is original and non-faded, the end result is quite good. I used it to touch up the front lip after going over a hump a little too enthusiastically. good stuff

Huh, u mean not like a thick marker pen like what they have for Hondas etc? Sorry to those who read my earlier post. So u into touch-up service too? Keke.

Re: Touch-up scratches

Only place to order is PML? Will check it out man. This is what i am looking for. Else keep going back to mike over minor scratches sure die.

Recently door got a deep scratch, must be some idiot moving things and knock onto my door. Pretty deep. So i wait and wait and see if got any idiot will scratch again. So cannot tahan last week went back to Mike. $150.

2 days ago travelling on AYE pass a lorry and a spinning rock hit my car, damm loud. Now another chipped paint on the same door. Arghhhh Damm Du Lan!

Re: Touch-up scratches

Flying rock? Well, that's what happened to me as well. Kenna left front fender, that was the last straw! Sent the car down to Angie for a respray of front grill, left front fender, left rear fender, bootlid spoiler and roof spoiler! Awesome job, can't tell the diff and really happy!

Don't fret about the scratches and the dents, there are workshops to help ya!

Re: Touch-up scratches

Andy... boooooh lah..... I where got do paint work????

The bottles have a little brush inside like the nail polish brush. Colour is spot on. I don't recommend that you paint on very visible surfaces like bonnet or doors unless the chip is damn big. Should try on front lip or rear bumper. Those places not so obvious and if hand shake, the end result not so obvious....

Cheers and good luck
