Tyre punctured by debris on AYE

[pengful]

Was heading towards Rochor from Changi yesterday and hit a rock the size of a tennis ball. I could not "siam" in time and found a small hole in the tyre. I drove slowly to Leong Seng to have it replaced... miserable journey.

With all the construction at the Bay area, these lorries are dropping debris like nobody's business and I am not saying it is just this stretch of road. It's everywhere. Tyre shop said can claim LTA. Anyone knows how?

Yes, debris all over the place. Along Cantonment / Outram also, very often it's littered with stones. We are car still not as bad, those motor cyclists sure ganna if they slip or stone fly up and hit them.

Btw Pengful, last time no petrol also along AYE ya? I suggest u avoid AYE, huan tio.

No harm trying with LTA. Encourage to contact them. The more consumers voice our opinions the better.

BTW our roads are getting worse and worse. Dig up then crappily fill up those holes, just look at start of Nicoll Highway, Havelock Road, etc. Keep on increasing ERP & taxes and just pocket $$$ without fixing up our roads. It's like a 3rd world country!!! Shameful :angry:

Actually, not only on highways and main roads - even sleepy back roads near neighbourhood estates kanna. I used to love that morning drive from house to work - now, have to siam lorries and siam pebbles and siam Banglas and siam Chow Angmos taking their fcuking big-assed Labradors out for morning jogs, KNN.

If riding on 2 wheeler everyday, 1 will notice that our roads are filled with construction debris. I kenna 1 big nail through bicycle tire (all the way to the rim). My bicycle has Kevlar inner lining also no use.

It was on Republic Avenue.

overall... the roads in singapore are a whole lot better than the pariah ones in malaysia...

pot holes, patch work 'speed bumps', multiple surfaces within a 2km stretch etc... I am not saying the NS highway but small kampong roads. those are suv stock suspension killers...

btw, the pot hole which was mended has resurfaced....middle lane along holland road in the direction of orchard very close to the u-turn junction to dempsey entrance of samy's curry and long beach seafood..be careful

Can. Just mark down the repair cost when your wife asks. $1000 repair say $500 only. Very cheap.
