Tyre Uneven Wear. Wheel alignment the cause??

Re: Tyre Uneven Wear. Wheel alignment the cause??

I notice Stock E60(Ride 100% under PML care) have aggressive negative camber, you can see clearly if you are behind one of the stock ride. For those went for after market wheel alignment shop. The rear camber usually adjusted and not so aggressive.

Re: Tyre Uneven Wear. Wheel alignment the cause??

looking at your alignment report looks like your BEFORE values are better (balanced on both side)

why did they dial out the camber on your RIGHT rear wheel?

Re: Tyre Uneven Wear. Wheel alignment the cause??

On one of my trips to KL last year, my car ran over a pot hole somewhere near Muar on the NS highway. It was brutal.
On the way back to SG, the car gradually pulled to the right and got worse and worse.
When I got home, it was so bad, if i release the wheel while going stright at 80km, I'd spin. Not exggerating.
A buddy came round and we removed the front wheels. Discovered massive uneven wear on the right front wheel. So bad that the wheel would not stand up stright by itself - it'd just fall over due to the uneveness. They were 19" 245 michellins.
I had a busy schedule so I decided I'd get a new set of wheels later and dusted off my old 17" stock wheels out of storage and put them on until i decide what to get. That was a almost a year ago. Meanwhile, the steering became more vague over the months and the car began wollow more and more on rough surfaces. Another KL trip loomed large so I took it to BVO and guess what. Bent upper and lower castor arms. Bushes were bad. Front bump stop was rusted at the bottom and rubber top worn to the metal. (Strangely the 17" front tyres didnt show any signs of uneven wear). Had the arms and rubber shock damper replaced and the car now drives like new. Quite a big transformation. Sharper handling, smoother ride.

The alignment record looks much better than mine. Better get the mechanic to check whether your rims or bushes got problem. Send to Pml if to be secured.

Good idea. ;-) slip one or both remaining tyres around him too.

Just be sure to let him throw the first measly punch, duck, and then legitimately wallop him in self defense.
