On one of my trips to KL last year, my car ran over a pot hole somewhere near Muar on the NS highway. It was brutal.
On the way back to SG, the car gradually pulled to the right and got worse and worse.
When I got home, it was so bad, if i release the wheel while going stright at 80km, I'd spin. Not exggerating.
A buddy came round and we removed the front wheels. Discovered massive uneven wear on the right front wheel. So bad that the wheel would not stand up stright by itself - it'd just fall over due to the uneveness. They were 19" 245 michellins.
I had a busy schedule so I decided I'd get a new set of wheels later and dusted off my old 17" stock wheels out of storage and put them on until i decide what to get. That was a almost a year ago. Meanwhile, the steering became more vague over the months and the car began wollow more and more on rough surfaces. Another KL trip loomed large so I took it to BVO and guess what. Bent upper and lower castor arms. Bushes were bad. Front bump stop was rusted at the bottom and rubber top worn to the metal. (Strangely the 17" front tyres didnt show any signs of uneven wear). Had the arms and rubber shock damper replaced and the car now drives like new. Quite a big transformation. Sharper handling, smoother ride.
