Tyres for X1

Hi all,

i am switching from 17" to 19" for my X1, i know due to tyre size etc, the fuel comsumption will be affected but based on experience, is it going to be affected drastically or Slightly ?

As for the tyres, i am not going for runflats. I was offered RE050. Is it good? looking at similar price range tyres that suits the car. my setup is 19" staggered. Kindly advise.

ur fuel consumption will not be affected drastically, not to worry

i am not sure about the tyres for X1....maybe someone else can advise you better....

RE050 is not bad but may be noisy after sometime.

did you check the offset of ur new rims? that is impt too....

Bro.. I had the 19" RE050 on my old X3. It rides well so don't worry about it. It should be staggered set up. Fuel consumption should go up a notch but should not affect too much.

Dude, pickup is going to be badly affected if going for the staggered 19", especially on the local 1.8sdrive X1. This was what the tyre shop has advised me.

I am currently using Advan Sports on 19" Breyton, non staggered. Seems to be fine on my X1 for the last 2 months.

why is that so? staggered only using slightly wider tyres isn't it ? dun understand why there is going to be a drastic effect on the pick-up. Haiz... anyway the car should be slow la, i have not drive it b4 but i bought alr. Even my current car feels slow, so anything slower than that is in-material. hahaha

btw i am going to use re050, advan sport better huh? any other recommendations for smooth quiet ride? i am using re050 on mycurrent car
