To confirm whether your iDrive got option 6NR, on the main menu, you should see ConnectedDrive instead of BMW Services, select the ConnectedDrive you should see Facebook, Twitter, Webradio.

2) Go to RealOEM.com, copy and paste onto the 'Serial number' and search. The details of your ride will be revealed

Mine is Jul'10...wondering if PML can load in the ConnectDrive. Pretty cool..
Does it only works with iPhone? How about Blackberry?

Thanks for the youtube info really cool..
Before reading your post. I was testing out today. Click on BMW services and saw something like BMW connected and it pick up my iphone saying it is ready so I click start service.... then data transferring... but later message shows transfer error. I think somewhere went wrong. I suspect:
1) I did not download BMW connect apps
2) not connect thru USB only bluetooth connection is on
3) lastly - mine is not 6NR ready, :errrrrrr:

Have this thoughts too! may not be available in Singapore. itune store dun hv the apps only found it in US store. Sian... modern Singapore boasting our IT technologies but not making it practically available. Can only wait.

Is there 'BMW Connected' on your menu? The option 6NR should be activated by default if your ride has the option. Before you connect to the iDrive, you have to download the BMW Connect app from US iTunes store. Update us on your conversation with PML

Its actually not that fantastic. I used the Google function with the help of tethering from my phone. Firstly, the keyboard is the iDrive knob, secondly, the keyboard is the iDrive knob... And it only works when the car is stationary. I was more impressed with the connectivity, answering of phone calls, checking dialed/received numbers and the music storage capability of the car. I'm not big on facebook and twitter but how can anyone promote these activities whilst driving?

6NR is not available in all F10 models this include 535i model too. (regardless March 2011 onward production or not) Reason given - they do not bring this specs into Singapore market. So case close... enjoy my ride which the ultimate driving machine!
Unless anyone here got other info from PML.
I did also ask why it is promoting its latest 3 series with BMW Connect? They could not answer.

I think PI model may have. BUT... U will still need to down load the apps via iTunes. So far I last check local iTunes store don't have it. You may download it via U.S iTunes store or U.K.
If 7 series, X5 and some 3 series have BMW Connect, I don't know how they get the apps for the owner?
