URA doesnt seem to sell freehold land anymore since last few years ?

hi folks

I check URA residential land sales and for the past few years, all are 99 leasehold and zero freehold land sales.
have anyone noticed ?

no more new freehold land ?

Of course, they have wisened up. Even private developer sales sometimes come on 99-leasehold with reversionary interests on FH land. Bloodsuckers!

government said no more new freehold land sales in the future!!!!
new 99 lease hold land may be reduced to 60 years leasehold!!!!

60 years makes sense leh. The average age one can comfortably afford a private property in this day & age (without the benefit of parental assistances/financial injections) is, say, 30y. Live in the property for 60 years - you'll be 90 years old. About right time to go to heaven liao....

ya they will just price those 60yrs lease condos same price as the free hold ones since there is no more left . And see who the sucker who is force buy them at skyhigh prices. example us.

you are right they are recycled FH land

Naung residence is enbloc ...whilst Tembusu is the old Wing Tai factory which they pulled down recently to build condo

percentage of freehold properties versus the total sum of all properties will get smaller each year.
more money chasing fewer freehold properties.

Yeah for me, as long as the cat is able to catch mice, I don't care whether it's white or black, big or small.
