Violent Steering Problem

Hi Everybody,

Can anyone shed some light on a steering problem I have with my E36?
The steering wheel encounters quite large vibrations when I am turning left at around 70 - 90 km/hr.

I had changed the steering rack a few months ago but that did not solve the problem.
At all other times, the steering is perfect.
Any idea what could be the cause of this problem?

Thanks in advance and appreciate your inputs.

Re: Violent Steering Problem

If your wheel very big, it might be rubbing against your chassis component.
Dun think its wheel bearing issue cos its fine at all other times.

Re: Violent Steering Problem

I had checked my chassis and there does not seem to be signs of rubbing.
The vibrations are only when i turn left at 70-90km/h but when i turn right, it does not vibrate at all.
It also does not vibrate when i turn left at less than 60km/h.
