Volker Plugs for N52 & N43 engines

Thanks a lot bro. Would that mean that my top end will suffer with the 6? Sorry for silly questions as I am not familiar with this. I am presently using OWS plugs. Tks

These plugs will perform better than the stock ones but when you compare their performance, the 6 gets better low end while the 7s gives better top end. It all depends on you driving style. Personnally i am using a 8 heat range plug (in Spec II design, hottest plug that they have) but i do spend some time at 5-6K rpm during each drive.

Since you are driving the latest 6cyl Valvetronic engine then not much choice. So far unable to get the 7ZC plugs yet. Only the 6ZC is available.

Cheers

Re: Volker Plugs for N52 & N43 engines

Hey bro, how about e90 320i? any recommendations for good low end to mid? get some for me. Thanks!

Re: Volker Plugs for N52 & N43 engines

For the e90 320, its the usual 7ZX-08. Nothing special unless you are keen on the spec II plugs..

Hee hee...

Re: Volker Plugs for N52 & N43 engines

Both the spec II or the ZX plugs will make a difference. it just how much you are willing to spend. I am using the spec II on my 2.2L block.... hee hee..

Re: Volker Plugs for N52 & N43 engines

Whats the difference between the 2 types ? Heat range? Im dont really gun my car but each week, i take it to Malaysia for a carbon cleaning session on my way to my factory. Cost for a set of 6 would also be nice.

Re: Volker Plugs for N52 & N43 engines

The basic ZX or ZC plugs are the same deisgn as conventional plugs just the different materials are used to imporve on durability and firing consistency of the plugs. The Spec II plugs operate in a different manner. cos the spark fires t5o the side which exposes more towards the flame front.

If you have a M54 engine, the 6 plugs will cost you $150, if its the valvetronic engine then its gonna be around $180.

Cheers

Re: Volker Plugs for N52 & N43 engines

thanks for the quick reply, will pick up soon when the car needs to be serviced.

Re: Volker Plugs for N52 & N43 engines

Installed my second set of Volker Racing Plug 7ZX-8 on my E46 318i today.
Two words "SHIOK" and "AWESOME".

Drove my car in Normal Mode but RPM climb like Sport Mode :yikess:

Thanks to Brother Rodney (Aka Yendor). My car is much smoother after your magic touch :)

Volker Racing Plug 7ZX-8 ==> Very Good Plug indeed !
For those has yet to install ==> Go try it and you will be amazed :)

Re: Volker Plugs for N52 & N43 engines

bump bump.

I'm very pleased with the plugs. One of my best mods in 2007! Thank goodness I could get it done before 2008 arrived!

The pickup while cruising at 80 is simply fantastic. Don't even need to push into DS.

I've tried going into DS and M modes recently and it's quite a blast compared to before.

Felix, who fix the plugs for you? need any further tuning? You really have mod until nothing to mod, how about the number plate? Any good suggestion?
