The Gold Coast Concept doesn't get much in the way of go fast parts, with 280 HP mated to a six speed DSG. It does get some serious whoa parts though, sporting giant ceramic brakes under those gorgeous wheels. Volkswagen, make this car so.

After 5 Bimmers, I have decided to downgrade and will be taking delivery of the CC 1.8T ( base model ) soon. I changed marque because of the greater ease of chip tuning and more substential power gains of a 'cheaper' turbo engine, as compared to the BMW twin turbo, found in models that are beyond my reach. Also, my present 7 is 5 years old and is starting to show its age. Spent some $$ maintaining it and changing parts for the past few months. Last was an oil leak. And last but not least, the infamous quality of aftersales service from PML, whereby most of us have had 1st hand experience...keep fingers crossed that VW's would be better. It will probably not be as 'involving ' a drive as a BMW, but, in this economic climate, that is a compromise that I have to pay.
