i groom my matte black at imperial 1. Try asking them or Detail Lab

Re: Waxing a frozen black....

I go to AutoInc for my Frozen Grey M5, have been using them for a very long time and lionel is pretty knowledgeable, so worth having a chat with him about your paint.

Re: Waxing a frozen black....

No issue removing bird droppings, but I am pretty fastidious and do it quickly, that said I do that regardless of the car / paint. I think the issue for frozen will be removing any etched in scarring caused by droppings that have set and been out in the sun. Recovery will be tough as u will not be able to polish the clear coat. actually we shd ask SAF how they manage to upkeep the frozen paintwork on all their military vehicles, especially since they kenna all the elements every day. I always see their jeeps and GP cars the frozen paint quite clean leh

You can call Ben from Detail Lab at 98448533 or go to his place at B14 Defu Lane 10 #01-396. He does a very thorough job. FYI his price is not cheap but you be sure a happy man (not that kind of happy :nehnehhh:). He uses swissvax but I still swore by Zymol products. Its personal preference. Gd luck on your search.

Good luck in trying to remove watermarks or bird droppings on your frozen black ride. As another member said, the clear coat on the frozen paint can't be waxed off so in the long term it's very hard to maintain.

Re: Waxing a frozen black....

Not true. As some have said, it all depends on the choice of frozen colours. My 2 frozen greys are maintenance free. No water marks whatsover. I don't do any form of maintenance apart from the regular petrol station washes. Black has always been a pain to maintain. So in conclusion, not all frozen colours are created equal. I would reckon frozen silver and blue would be as easy to maintain as well.

Re: Waxing a frozen black....

Always wanted a Matt blue but did not consider as many ppl said maintaining it is a chore ...

Find the Matt colors damn sexy ... Yummy ...

The "white" in the equation makes it a pain to maintain like all white cars.

I hate it when the bird shit eats into the clear coat. How does frozen grey react to bird shit under hot sun for 1-2 hours?
