Really a storm in a teacup.
But my sense is that if this F word is not fit to print in full in this Forum, it's probably not a good idea to say it out loud in formal setting and polite company.

if u fucking listen to the content of the speech. the electrifying atmosphere. the elation of the students/parents/teachers.....there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with it. We ignore the entire speech and focused on ONE word. wat a fcuking anal society we have become.

Great Speech.....but there's always a place and time for everything right? Among friends and colleagues this is acceptable but in front of guests, family members and respected academic community, it's a sticky situation hence it seems a bit out of place. Totally understand that it is something that just came out spontaneously...as it is a word that is commonly used these days and has become a part of our daily vocab. The question will remain whether if we can accept it ? Can we?
Do we approve our family members or kids using it? At the end of the day what's right or wrong...what's appropriate or not; depends on the context. and how we see it as individuals.
