Wedding Car Troubles..

Hi all,

Was using my car today as a wedding car! All preppy and dressed up. The stupid passenger window "up - down" pulley mechanism decided to give way and my window was stuck in the open position with those noon thunderstorm rolling in.

Without much of a choice, I had to fetch the bride to church and drop her off for the blessed ceremony with full blast air conditioning mixed with outside sbs bus fumes!

While she was at the church getting married, I basically flew down to BVO and declared a major emergency!!! Ah Wee came to the rescue; removed the door trimmings and panels, remove the linings, the motors, the faulty pulley and put everything back together in exactly 16mins!!! I was off again, back to the church at siglap just in time to fetch the bride off! Phew.......

Thumbs up to Ah wee...... I think Performance motors will take 2 days and ask you to go home first. Nothing beats your own preferred personal mechanic service!

Re: Wedding Car Troubles..

Yeah Ah Wee is the man. He's great, friendly and provides very good service.

Re: Wedding Car Troubles..

Ah Wee's the man....did you give him any ang pow or not?....hehehe

Re: Wedding Car Troubles..

ha ha.....been taking care of that since day one. To take care of your car, you need to take care of your mechanic first. Unfortunately to say, many people do not realized that! But demanding further discount instead.

Re: Wedding Car Troubles..

Big thumbs-up for Ah Wee and BVO... they have always been very accommodating! Glad the wedding car all turned out well!

Yup!! Alot of ppl always press the mechs to get things done fast & want the cheapest....

But when comes to situation like yours.....the mechs can actually charge you an arm or leg's fee....

Tat's why we must 'know wat to do' sometimes......like CNY.....A nice good 'Ang Pow' will make your mechs a happi man!!

kekekeke

Now! Go change your tires man!!!! Dun tink the Sun is gonna come out much these days!!

Re: Wedding Car Troubles..

16 mins turnaround time ! WTF ..that is fast.

Re: Wedding Car Troubles..

16mins, Ah Wee should get a medal!

Re: Wedding Car Troubles..

he qualifies for F1 pot crew but too bad F1 cars got no windows or A/C either............ ha ha ha, yeah even I can't say that for my regular window man...........

Re: Wedding Car Troubles..

I think if you had called him he would have jumped on his motorbike and meet you at the church with his toolkit and the pulley to replace for you! Hahaha..

And I thought having him do mine while I had my lunch was fast. Looks like he still got a lot of "hidden energy" that we don't know about.

skali in teh church while priest says 'if anyone of you should object...' Ah wee comes in and says WAIT!!!:lol2: :lol2: I need ur car keys

Anyway, for Ah Wee...yep he's Da man!!!:) :) :)

Re: Wedding Car Troubles..

Ah wee is really my superman! Works very hard and seldom sleeps. As far as I am concerned(since I am often hands on and always work WITH him on my car) he does not accept short cuts in his work. His kind of professionalism is a gem these days.

Anyway, this window mechanism seems to be a common defect among ageing E46s. I have a phobia now with opening windows already! I prefer opening my door to get tickets.....call me weird.

Re: Wedding Car Troubles..

Yes, last few days-with all the water ponding etc... I have lost control of my car TOTALLY once on a two lane bridge(luckily hit nothing), almost lost it once on braking, fishtailed 3 times while accelerating and enough is enough. Yoko AVS is a ice skating boot. Thinking of Goodyear F1 this week.
