What affects your choice of rims and bodykit choices?

Hi guys,

I am just curious about what sway your decisions on design/look factor choices of wheels, body kits and other parts you might buy for your car. It might be really interesting to hear.

Assuming the product choices are of equal quality, prices and brand reputation.

Maybe I can quote some examples:
because....
1) my friends say nice, so I follow
2) everyone has, must be nice, I also want
3) I want to be different from others
4) I like it and suits me
5) others.

Personally, I would fall into option 3 & 4. Body kits, I will normally choose those that maintains the clean lines of the car and subtly makes the car more sporty. Nothing too aggressive for me. As
for wheels will normally give it a little classic look, so is inclined towards mesh with lip designs..and latest is with some concavity in them. The product, the less common the better. That's me

for resale value purposes, just change to factory sport kits sure won't go wrong

also need to consider practical issues - e.g. clearance of bodykit to go over speed humps and steep driveways, can the rims be repaired for curb rash (chrome difficult)
