Hi guys
Am a newbie
Am driving a 530i since Jan 06. Great car for city driving - performance-wise am really happy.
Any one can suggest how to check battery condition and should I assume a change of a battery needed at 2 years any way ?
Dont want to have a road side or breakdown during drive up to Msia.

I am still looking for an answer to the question : Why 3 Series is so beloved amongst BMW drivers?

Hi after driving the 5 series 530i you just know the same engine say in 330i is really much more nippy in town & B roads in Msia& if you dont need the space,3 series are great fun espy 325 or 330. my humble opinion

Present ride is a altis 1.8.

Looking at the 325i coupe, that's why joined the forum to get more info to compare against the IS250.

yesterday test drove the 325 coupe at PML alexander. found the car very solid but accelerator pedal a bit on the firm side and response seems to be lagging until quite some stepping.

maybe i am used to the very light pedal of toyota. commented on the pedal and lack of immediate response to sales lady and got a lot of off the mark talks.

She said BMW has a stiffer and heavier body compared to jap cars which are very light. Even ventured that I should not be resting my right heel on the mat but use leg movement rather than foot ???? :errrrrrr: Will need crutches to get out of the car after a long journey if i follow her advice.

There is enough raw power on the spec to say this is not from lack of it.

I could not get her to understand it is not from lack of power, its the reaction time at the pedal. Sports mode was very much faster in reaction.

any one has input ?

Sorry lah but how to compare 325 with Tyota altis - the latter is so light like all Jap cars. Check the unladen weight of IS250 vs that of 325 and the BM is solid on stable at high speed say >160 km on NS highway where it will come into ts own !

I understand! Looking to change to a smaller car in the future with higher engine capacity!

Hi..dimitrios, if you want to know how steady the car is while cornering on wet..you should enrol ADT class conducted by PML,sure you will learn alot from them..

Hi..dimitrios, if you want to know how steady the car is while cornering on wet..you should enrol ADT class conducted by PML,sure you will learn alot from them..

PML maybe is your favorite.not mine.
