PML will hold your car for 3 days or longer depending on the check results. they will replace everything that failed in that test session. my air-con system was replaced during that checks under warranty checks. if you have any concern about your car that wanted them to check specifically during that session you just need to highlight to your service adviser.
hope this help
acupunch;625437 said:they replaced my air-con system which was what I didn't even told them abt. all i asked for was to check my engine and gearbox. well, i was lucky i guess. i heard from others air con system likely would fail at 110-120K mileage onwards. mine was checked, failed and replaced around 90K mileage. tear n wear stuff is really hard to made claim against. eg, valvetronic, radiator, hose, etc. unless u had record showing you had this issues feedback in your service record with PML. eg. irregular coolant top up or top up engine oil regularly 2-3 times between service interval. but you can complain everything you think you want them to look it. its up to PML and BMW to honor that complain. in my experience PML honor complaints and warranty claims but its so troublesome means you need to leave your car with them days or week. nevetheless, is a process that can be improve. this my 1st BMW, I love the ride and because it drive so well, and naturally have higher rate of tear and wear rate. my valuetronic was replaced twice, twice on central lock for both front doors, folding side mirror was replace due to faulty motor, sterring airbag replaced due to BMW logo got oxidise (i am not kidding, that's what I complained to the SA), leather parth on my drive was replaced due to wear of the leather (mine was lemon, very obvious), exhaust oxygen sensor, i can't remember all of them...
will i buy again from PML? yes, if the price of the car is right. not that ridiculous margin, unless money not matter to me.
don't get too hung up by what other respond. is that this stuff discussed all over the forum. if you search, I am sure you find more than what I've said or similar. remember don't read too much into it. every car is unique as how its use and driven and manufacture. even the most common problem may not seen to apply on your car. that's luck, I guess.
enjoy the drive is more important. since its worth so much, make sure you make it worth. if you do. even it break down you would NOT be so 'Tui' cos you used it that's why it break down. in the end, just how you see things.
BMW is JOY.

I didn't pay for any check, but i used to go to this lady call Cindy in alexandra. she is good.
First she automatically book a slot for me to send my car in for a check right about 2 weeks before warranty was over.
the list of things that was changed:-
1) Air con system, coil, blower and compressor.
2) all the pipes connecting to the radiator
3) Radiator fan
4) memory seat module
5) Wiper water tank
6) some steering wheel busher (i don't know what's that)
7) new first aid bag, coz the old one broked
Think that's about it...
the mileage then was about 47k. According to her, 90% of the E90 will have some issue with the aircon nearing 3 years....
Hope this helps
