Hi all,

I bought a new S001 tyre two months ago and tyre went flat yesterday night. Drive to tyre shop and need to get a new tyre as can't be repaired. Drove for another 2 hours went flat again. Got anyone experience this before? What could be the problem?

Re: What happen to my tyre

could be the inner liner but then again u changed the entire tyre so that is ruled out.
think u can try a new "nipple" or valve cap for your rim

did the shop help you check what had caused your last tyre no air?
nipple is one component the hold the pressure.
If your are on 2 or 3 pc rim do ask the shop to help you chgeck the rim joint ,even a 1 pc rim also happend leak too

Check your valve.... Is yours the "rubber" version or the "metal" version? I had 2 separate incidences of tire pressure warning.... in both instances, only to find the fault to be the tire valve....

Once, it was when I drove up to KL! Thankfully, it happened only shortly after I arrived KL.... So I just drove to the nearest tire shop to get it replaced... I think it cost me RM6 or something like that.... haha...

Does Mr H tell you more about the rim crack? is it due to usage or Quality issue.
If is the Quality issue may be we should feed back to Breyton so that they can look into this and go after the contract factory.
coming from China is another issue to me, my understanding the Breyton wheels are outsource to rim maker in China.
It is differant storey the Rim maker manufacture rim in their own plant in China.
Outsourcing help to bring the cost down (that is the trend)
now is how well the principal control the QC
Sad to mention the first shop you visited should have bother to help you investigate the caused of leak.
i always petronise only 1 regular shop so that they can do they best to help you not only save cost also save the trouble.
If you are the type like to go round shopping , you will probably end with lower standard of service.
Because this people( think) or believe you have NO loyalty and trust on them, so they just do the least or follow your instruction the best

That's worrisome........ Breyton's reputation is at stake when they moved the production to China, be it outsourced and shift of production based.....

Re: What happen to my tyre

very scare ... can i visit tyre shop and ask them to "inspect" rims whether got crack or not?
how do workshop do it ? only by visual ?

Re: What happen to my tyre

NO need to scare. the crack shouldnt to the extend of breaking into pcs yet.
it usually starts with air leak, so just pay a little more attention the pressure.
sending the car to inspect by the shop, if no leak they cant find any problem.
and i suppose not many shop is willing to do this kind of shit job when the product is not sold by them. dont blame them who like to feed the baby for others.

Re: What happen to my tyre

stock is the best.
Is any product you buy from must from reliable source and able to prodvide you the quality assurance by either the manufacturer and seller (this seller exclude those talk loud loud type)
Stock product is endosed by BMW (world known brand) so should you have any quality issue you can go to BMW or Authorised agent (PML) for explaination.

But PML a bit pai kuan - all have standard C:\FAQ ever ready responses to give when we raise a concern or complaint with them. bro ferri will testify - leaky headlight units also "normal" as told to him by PML...

Ya that worries me as well... Guess most of the products outsourced and shift of production based to China quality usually drops..

Re: What happen to my tyre

Your post worries me as i am on 20" as well. Did you drive over any potholes at high speed or hit any curb? I always make sure my tires are properly inflated but not sure if it helps.

Re: What happen to my tyre

Anyway If I do change cars or rims again I will not buy Breyton anymore.... Guess Taiwan rims will be better than China made rims.. Rota rims are good as well...

headlight inside got water? that is not normal surely.
they should check and see is it due to manufacture problem or some impact the cause the openning some where and water went inside.
