whats the difference between the 318 and 320i E90s?

HI I am thinking of trading in my e46 318i and am thinking of getting back similar car. whats the diff between the 318i and the 320i? apart from less power, its still the same engine detuned? anyone tuned it back?

what else did BMW skimp on?

non xenon headlight
manual aircon control
front armrest cannot split (not shiok for resting left arm)
no rear aircon vent
synthetic leather (not dakota)
rear seat 1-pc (right) cannot fold down to put in golf set in the boot

as you know pml always packaged the 318 differently so all the above may not be accurate

The PreFL E90 320i doesn't come with Xenon headlight and front armrest cannot split too.

earlier batches of 318 are built in germany whereas 320 is made in south africa. later ones not too sure.

also different batches of 318/320 have different trim levels. later ones which comes with the m sport bodykit comes with idrive as well whereas earlier ones doesn't.

+1 confirm, btw the 2, go for 320. i own the 318 before.

Cool. well for the record, my E46 318i is from ZA. what the heck..
it had aircon climate control
memory drivers seat
no xenon coz was not that common then
rear seats still cannot fold down to put my err golf bag which i dont have.

damn the most important point of disgust is detuned... take away all the niceties i can still take it. but detuned...hmmm makes be feel like going for a C180K instead

i would rather go for 1-1.5 years older 323/325 with more packed features compare to a newer used 318/320 with nothing if price is similar

are the engine the same?? I notice too that some 320i has the UI merge with the dashboard,
some just have the gps. Is it because of the options or is 318i change the emblem to 320i?

same engine...
only last last batch of LCI got i-drive plus with more goodies like sports seats and Mkit.......( also got M-sports version )
