what's the use of this boost meter ?

hi,

i just bought a used 335i and it came with this boost display gauge.

Pressing on the button toggles between BC.01, BC.02 until BC.04

Anybody knows whats the function of this device and what mode is Bc.01 or BC.02 ?

THis car comes with JB3 and i just upgraded to JB4 today

it should allow you to change the juice box map. go back to the shop that installed your jb4 and ask them how it works - they will show you.

dat looks like the display that comes with JB3 for you to see your map on the move.

with JB3 you can use it to switch maps as well .. other than display boost/vacum and couple other displays.

with JB4, it is only used as a display as map switching n other functions are now selectable via ur steering wheel controls.

I kept mine on since I already had it n I can recall peak boost easily too.

With jb4 it only gives current boost levels which I dun really need since I hv a defi boost gauge.

Besides boost numbers I can't seem to get it to display other parameters.

Also at night, the display is reflected in the side mirror which is irritating.

Any solution to that other the obvious?

Ah ok .. since u hv another boost gauge - the obvious would be your best option

You could try sell your vent gauge to the many JB3/4 bro's here w/o separate boost guages.

I traded in my JB3 and upgraded to the latest JB4.

In particular, I like the added feature in JB4 of able to change the "mappings" using the buttons on the steering wheel. I have since taken out the BMS Gauge with this upgrade.

Do PM to me if any of the bros here are interested in the BMS Gauge.

Its quite interesting, defi boost gauge and BMS gague give different readings.

maybe both are taking readings from different sources ?

BMS gauge shows boost going as high as 20psi on JB4 Map 2........while Defi Boost gague shows 1 bar boost
