Re: Wheeler Dealers take on the E39 ///M5

I can't explain this. I own the F10 M5, but i crave the E39 M5 more than any other M5. Is there any still running around locally that can be bought in good shape?

E39 is very nice n F10 sort of went back to that look.... So u don't need an E39 M5 ler, yours very nice n desirable already

F10 is all turbo so tend to feel a little detached compared to a big NA V8. I was first drawn to M5 by the E39, so i guess that lent it a halo effect that can't be matched by the F10 even though the F10 is a far more sophisticated execution. Sometimes, simplicity is beauty :)

Don't fancy stripped down cars. I am seriously considering a 991 C2S maybe later part of the year...

ure gonna regret lah. Its the same as ure M3 just looks different n less 2 seats, in fact less nimble than m3. either got a stripped down hotrod or dun bother. the gt3rs is 50% different from the c2s n feels n looks like a proper sports car. U cant mistake it. C2s every other doctor/lawyer or rich old man has one lor.

The previous c2s to me was dam boring compared 2 the cayman coz of its size. cayman more fun.

I have been wanting to post a thread here asking bros who have driven the new 991 on their opinion on it compared to the M3. From what i have read in US forum, everybody seems to be saying it's more nimble by virtue of less weight/size and a more focused suspension setup. Have u tried it out yourself? I have no doubt the GT3s are a far more focused breed, but it doesn't serve my purpose. I have mentioned before in other threads that i do not fancy stripped down interiors and big spoilers. PDK is a must becos my wife can't handle a manual. As for it being associated with rich old man and doctor/lawyer, i can live with that image :D Where image is concerned though, Caymans tend to be driven by young chicks, tai-tais, mistresses....If i find a dude behind a cayman, they are often (not all the time) checking me out if u know where i am going...

ya tried the 997 c2s, cayman & gt3rs & e9xm3, so its based my opinion only. if uve seen & heard the gt3rs 4.0, is like tiger vs pussy cat compare 2 c2s.

ure m3 is best in class already. y not just wait till the next m3 comes, or hope porker has a new boxster spyder... imo one of d nicest cars ever.

or wait for new gt3rs which rumour 2 have paddle shift... then i chope first taxi ride hor :D

I uncle, but for a car costing the wrong side of half a million, there better not be any exposed metal. RS is way out of my radar and has never appealed to me. The new GT3 could be an option if they give it a PDK and a small wing...

Re: Wheeler Dealers take on the E39 ///M5

GT3/RS has nothing exposed as far as metals.
Only Ferraris do those where you pay more for less.
