The best wash mitt ever - Wookie Fist from Dodo Juice. GBP19.95 before shipping. Otherwise can always get Merino Wool Mitt for around GBP6. The Merino ones are already way ahead of local offerings which probably cost upwards of SGD25.

The best one i've used so far is sonus, ordered online. Bought three, after shipping and fx it was about sgd27 each. If you are in a hurry, there's a local source of mitts at sgD 20 each if i recall correctly. A friend of mine sources it. But i prefer the sonus mitt texture.

For Sonus i bought direct from their website in the states.
For the locally bought wool mitt, i got mine from detailogy.com , they do mail delivery. Quite prompt with their shipments. But not sure on current stock, since i haven't bought much recently. i now get my grooming stuff directly from a mobile groomer who is supplied by them. You can drop them an email before you place the order to check on availability.

no problem, hope you're happy with it. Next time when you looking to try a different one, you can order the Sonus version.
If you plan to do weekly car washes on your own, you can try the Optimum brand stuff they carry. Very easy on the hands. Similar to the blue Zymol shampoo. I personally use both brands. The skin on my hands once peeled off when i used meg's NXT shampoo.
Optimum is also good for landed house owners who have car wash run off into storm drains too. Doesn't poison the waters...

Sonus does sheep skin as well? Just to check, how does sheep skin differ to micro fiber in terms of the swirls and lines it creates?
wah u very civic and environmentally minded. I dun think i will be changing car shampoo anytime soon. have 4 bottles of the same which is unused.motorknut;460961 said:

not hard to care about the environment ... its really for our own well being also, right? all those chemicals we dump into the water.... we end up drinking. Same as the air we pollute.. in the end we breathe it in. Plus i live in a house, and you see stray cats in the drains or neighbours pets who run out once in a while. Don't want to risk them drinking any poisonous shampoo solution that flows out my driveway. Sometimes i think its the younger generation that will really bring a change, if they are educated right. I see so many ppl belonging to the older generation who don't give a shit how their life choices impact the environment. Plain selfish to me.
not sure about exact comparisons, but i think the deep pile for wool mitts help trap dirt so you don't scratch the paint as you're washing. but thats just my own analysis lah.
my sonus mitt has been in use from feb till now, but last wkend i found a small clump that was loose. i thought i ran it acrosss some sap and accidentally pulled out, but i think that bit really just came loose from the mitt. so far no major holes, but i never had that problem with the detailogy.com mitts either. and between washing panels, i always rub the mitts on a grit guard to loosen any stuck dirt. so i'm fairly rough on them.
