Which mode do you drive your F30 most in?

So we have the 4 modes on the F30 - Eco Pro, Comfort, Sport, Sport +

I find myself always switching between Comfort and Sport... comfort in slow moving traffic, sport when I have a little more space.

How about the rest of the F30 owners here?

Eco Pro but manual mode.

This is because only in eco pro mode the exhaust idles at a more sporty/louder tone.

Comfort/Sport/Sport+ mode seems to switch turn off some valve that affects the exhaust when the engine is warm.

The effect is more obvious when you are using an aftermarket exhaust. Try it for yourself!

Advisable not to switch back and forth in one single trip, wear and tear on control unit may fail your GB early. Happened to my old E90. I normally drive in Sports mode throughout - setting only chassis to sports and leave gear change normal as i can always use gear stick to choose sports when needed.

I set my eco plus mode at 70%, and i use it most of the time. But I will disable start-stop when I drive, because I heard it will cause premature wear-and-tear.

Agreed. How to start stop with air con also start stop!

I prefer to drive in sports mode. Not so much on the increased revs and throttle response but prefer the stiffened suspension for better handling.

Yup got difference.

my ride had the added option of adaptive suspension.

Sport mode set to chassis only - tighter steering and tighter suspension - cornering and road holding great, steering feel 5 stars!

+1 for steering & stiffer ride feel.
The "sports" setting shd b comfort & sports taken a notch stiffer even.
Am saying this based on experience w E series m sport non adjustable
The 2 feels are too far apart.

F30 setting for Sports+ involves only switching off slip differential on top of sports setting. No further stiffening of suspension.

Thanks all for your responses. Seems like we F30 owners love to experiment around with the settings on our rides.

I would ideally love to stick to 'sport' mode throughout but find the steering too stiff for driving in some situations like car parks for e.g.

Point noted on not switching during a single ride.

Yup, which is Y i configure sports mode to suspension stiffen-ing only. In sport +, both susp & throttle shaperns on top of dtc/dsc nanny interfering later.

Yes mn3t, I am on adaptive M-sport suspension, under drive / sport mode settings, i can select throttle only / suspension only / both.
the car "diagram" on i-drive display will highlight the engine block / suspension / both in red accordingly. hope this explaination helps.

comfort in car parks, sport on normal weather, n sport+ (on non rainy days )
