Re: Which would you rather buy?

My vote goes to GT3. Looks more boy racer.

Re: Which would you rather buy?

458. F and L cars simpy different league on badge alone.

Re: Which would you rather buy?

 Lambo Gallardo... no no, Ferrari 458  no no, new M3/M4  no no, damn cannot make up my mind...

Re: Which would you rather buy?

Surprised that GT3 is keeping up nicely with the 458

ALL. Just don't live in Sg.

The recent curb in loan quantum is gonna make many of the supercars idling at used car marts. From what I heard, many exotic car owners took up at least 70% loan previously.

Re: Which would you rather buy?

Voted 458...looks, performance, badge...

Nice problem u have there...

Re: Which would you rather buy?

its a far stretch to compare m3/m4 or any bmw with a gt3. much less a 458.

Re: Which would you rather buy?

definitely 458. m3/4 shdnt be on the same list.

new m3/4.

less maintainance.

Ital Auto's F cars sold after sep 2010 get 7 years free servicing / maintenance except wear and tear items like tyres.

Stuttgart's Porsche cars get 5 years.

M cars from Munich Auto get 5 years....

maintenance costs should not be an issue in this case.

F car FTW!!!!

Re: Which would you rather buy?

definitely 458 or Lambo.

Re: Which would you rather buy?

Not saying that I am faced with this "tough" decision. M3/M4 is in this mix becos it's new whereas the exotics are used. To some, they can never bear shelling out so much $ for a used car. Some would rather buy a spanking new car for around $400k instead of a used exotic at $600+k even though both are within budget. I used to belong to this camp, but lately, am having second thoughts. I do however, fear that once u start on exotics, u are screwed for life. It might be tough to go back to driving Ms and AMGs i think. Has anybody done that?

Personally I don't see how this problem will exist.

With an F or P car, you will still need a sedan or 4-door car. That car could be a BMW or AMG. Assuming that even if you have no kids or parents to ferry around, you still can't really use an F or L car as a daily drive for 99% of the time (assuming you only have 1 car). Even if you are not discouraged by the frequent visits to the kiosk or the FC eating away your wallet, you will soon find that driving a real performance car with suspension stiff enough to feel every coin on the road quite a pain. Not to mention the inconvenience of getting in and out of the car (low ride) and the numerous carparks which you can't enter.

So as exotic as a car might be, and as sheer driving pleasure it gives you, you will probably look for a second daily drive car. That car might just be a M5, XM6 or an AMG wagon. So you can always go back to Ms and AMG!
