You should join Vincar. They have the same foresight. Hence a few forumers here are getting their car much faster than from PML. I firmed my order in end April, and was told it will be here mid-May. Then end-May. Then end-June. Finally early July. 2 months wait, but they ordered this batch way way ahead, w/o fear for inventory backlog. Good business sense. Heard some PIs are also sourcing from Vincar. Hence their price hike - last unit transacted $215K......TripleM said:

PML price is 238.8k.( with idrive + satnav, no logic 7). PI one no idrive satnav but got logic 7:screwedu:

X3 are not made by BMW already. They sub it to a contractor in Austria.

There are only 2 main problems that should worry you. 1 is the high pressure fuel pump and the other is Cylinder 5 and 6 overheating at high speeds for a continued period of time. 1 really depends on your luck but PML has already stadby about 6 units of fuel pumps in the malaysia warehouse just in case. As for cylidner 5 and 6, i understand BMW is trying to increase the water pump rate to ease of the problems of overheating on cylinder 5 and 6. Anyway, thats only applicable if you are goin up NS and are gonna constantly keep a high speed. Other than that, there is nothing to worry. Of course intermittent small issues will pop out but the sheer marvel of the N54 powerplant will make you ignore all that.

The oil cooler is not relevant to our Singapore markets as the factory for Singapore a.k.a Hot Climate all has oil coolers. In US and Europe, Oil Coolers only come standard when you opt for the Sports Package. With the procede and no oil cooler, you are asking for trouble.
