Windscreen hit by stone

This morning on my way to work, front windscreen hit by a stone and found a chip off mark on it. Was thinking to replace the new windscreen at Sng Ah Tee Motor near Pioneer Rd Jurong area, cos my windscreen is cover by unlimited windscreen change policy. And this workshop is listed by my car insurance co. Any brother here know about the workmanship for this workshop? Thanks in advance.

change at PML. U still pay the same access.. covered by insurance.

Re: Windscreen hit by stone

If it's just a small chip, it might be better to leave it alone or try and patch it up. I might be wrong, but if not done properly, fitting a new windscreen can compromise the waterproofing ability of the factory seals on the glass. But do note that if left alone, a crack could grow over time as the glass alternately expands and contracts when exposed to the elements. :)

eh... cool.. that meaning there's hope for my windscreen ...

Re: Windscreen hit by stone

i've had several big and small stone chips on my windscreen. As long as they dont propagate over time, i always leave them alone. The main objective here is to save money.

Re: Windscreen hit by stone

don't your insurance policy give you one free windscreen per year?????
