Unlikely to succeed in this case especially if the front 2 cars damage alot more serious. This light damage here could not have caused the major damage.
Therefore Car-C (Deepster) need to get picture taken and get e report as record ASAP before owner get a letter of claim from both insurance company of Car-A and Car-B
Yah, drive safe guys. Keep a safe distance n don't be a hero, esp during this rainy season. Just yesterday I saw 3 accidents within 30 mins...1 yellow cab skidded and went onto a grass patch at PIE Bedok North Exit...
Yeah. Hidden ponding occurs very frequently on Lane 1 on the expressway during the rain for some reason. Not visible somemore. Wonder why isn't anyone doing anything about that. Nearly skidded yesterday. ACC auto dis-engaged. Thank god for new tyres.

After going to the workshop, they quoted me $600 for the repair. In the mean time, I went to enquire with them regarding my engine oil light that has been popping out. I serviced the car about 3 weeks ago and new engine oil and filter was placed inside. So I don't know what's the problem. At first I check it was insufficient, so I topped up a 1l engine oil that I bought. After a week or so, it popped out again. And when he checked, he said there's no leak. There are some seepage here and there but it's minor but it would not cause the oil to deplete that fast. Anyone has any idea of what might be the issue? Cos sensor should be working fine as well.
Yup, planning to.. The workshop guy told me since my car I just bought about a mth or so, try going back to the dealer and ask if he can bring to the workshop to dignose also the problem. Cos it's quite costly and if the dealer workshop can do for me, then it's good, if not I still have to pay as well. I'm looking at Aaron thread as well over the valve seal, maybe it could solve the issue. Anyone experience or know if its normal if the car shuts down when it's in parked of neutral position if its idle for about 3-5 mins?

Oil loss you may want to have workshop drain out the oil, to see how much left.
Also, is your oil sensor showing a stable level or fluctuates every time, change a new oil sensor if it's yo-yoing all the time so you can assess oil level properly.
Engine die while idling could be a few issues, one could be that the valvotronic motor up lorry, this one can only check when hookup to the computer at the workshop.

My e90 is a dec 05 model. Bought just last month and sad to say so much probelms. For the engine oil, I went to service a week after I got the car. And 2 weeks after that, it prompted me to top up 1l since it was low on engine oil. Then 2 days ago it came up again. Before this, I brought it to the workshop by the dealer cos the coolent warning light came on and reported was low. They changed the water pump and so far ok. But now the engine oil light came up. Panicking.
According to some friends, they said my e90 with n46 engine eats up a lot of oil after its been crossed the 100k mileage. The workshop that I'm doing my repairs from the accident also told me there's 2 ways about it.
1. Try using 10-40 oil since its thicker but must service every 7k. This is to monitor and see if there's any problem persists.
2. Change the piston and valve seal. (Which is what he said is as good as an overhaul)
So told me to repair my car bumper first. Bring back to the dealer and ask him bring to the workshop and see if they can dignose the problem.
bro,did you contact your dealer telling him abt the engine oil level low issue.do not mention abt the accident .most likely will refer to their own workshop to rectify.imform them abt the problems your own workshop have diagnose.see what they say.when i got my car 2mths ago,my engine oil also leaks.rectify at bvo and i also change the oil level sensor.now drove for ard 5k alady .engine level still at full.so i hope and tahan until the next service

Yes I know about that cos the workshop also ask me to repair the bumper first then bring back to the dealer cos it's minor. Also in case the dealer might say that the accident can cause the parts to be faulty or whatever tricks they may come out with.
Change the oil level sensor first before anything else, most likely it's just the sensor fault. The rest can fix slowly later if need be. Bmw at past 5yo mark, have to change alot of wear and tear parts, not just e90.

Went back to my dealer and they changed the workshop as the previous one is bullshitting them as well. Went to their other workshop located at AMK Autopoint, Speed Clinic.
The owner of the workshop seems more sincere. Told me not to rush him and he will take some time to do it. He took out my entire engine and checked for the wear and tears. Changed the valve seals, some other seals and also the head cover gasket. i must say he's quite meticulous in his work and no doubt taking a longer time, he called me and inform on updates of the progress.. will update here again after a week of driving my car again. hopefully no more problems.
