WTB: e90 325i

Re: WTB: e90 325i

One reason i could think of is the the traffic lights in the test setting are much further spaced apart?

even then, my e90 320i gets me 10.1km/litre on 90% highway, 10% urban.

Beside, i am trying to get a 3 series too. But heard that maintanence for BM is very expensive isnt? May I know how much you guys spend on maintainence, is it very high?

It really depends on your commute patterns. I'm doing 85-90% expressway runs for my daily route.

My consumption shows 11.5L/100km (8.7km/L) on average over 17 months.
480km when low fuel lights come on (low fuel indicated)

My last pump was one of my better ones - 515km/55 litres. (low fuel indicated)
This translates to 10.6L/100km (9.36km/L)

With regards to *High Maintenance*, I would say the issue is more prominent when the mileage of the car goes up (usually past warranty period) and bigger ticket items start requiring replacement due to high mileage/wear+tear.

It's safe to say that the maintenance cost is proportionate to the cost of the car. In that sense, it's still very acceptable. It's without doubt that the cost of going back to the authorised distributor (PML) for maintenance work is higher than external workshops.

There are very competent BMW-specialised external workshops out there and there are alot of bimmer owners going to them without issues.

Wow, seems that the data given in the online catalog cannot be used in our daily usage.

By the way, mind to share how much you normally spend on maintanence? Coz i am thinking shall i get a new 320 or 2nd hand 320? Coz if i get a 2nd hand, i still have a few hundred extra for the maintanence. But as you said, after warranty trouble comes up.... that is bad....

Re: WTB: e90 325i

If just strictly following the schedule of dealers and using their consumables

Maintenance cost of super economical Honda Jazz at 20,000km
1k Servicing - > $100
10k Servicing - > $200
20k Servicing - > $300

Maintenance cost of E90 at 20,000km
24k Servicing - > $250

then it seems like E90 is cheaper than normal Honda Jazz, am i right?

Or because the spare part for E90 is more expensive than normal economy cars?

Please enlight me~ haha~
