Replace a/c compressor no need to remove dashboard..only the cooling coil you need to. Strongly discourage replacing old cooling coil..its not worth it.

You are right. Only replacement of cooling coil need to dismantle dashboard.

Re: WTB: Recon or OEM Air con cooling coil for E90 335i

I just done mine near Queenway.

OEM coil is expensive BUT aftermarket coil, just without the BMW logo cost much lesser, ~$380+

Not to promote anything, my car was serviced by them (sub-con) through TWM warranty so claim under warranty.

Left the car on Tues before lunch, collected on Wed morning :)

:)

$380 parts + labor? I did mine at motoraire, parts + labor - $1200...They told me replacing the compressor will cost same amount.

Re: WTB: Recon or OEM Air con cooling coil for E90 335i

sorry bro,

$380+ is cost the part itself (COIL) ...not sure about the total cost since they claimed everything from TWM for me.

it is " Tomika LIP" at Queenway area. Tel: 62762628

Let them quote, if cheaper, then do lor. They did show me my leaking coil as well as the new one that they plan to install. (They ordered at least > 50 coils) saying the e9x series always have this coil leaking problem:)

Talk to the boss's daughter, very friendly and helpful.:yummie:

Hope this help.

Hi, I faced aircon coil leakage too. If go to JB for repair. How long will they take to repair?

I have checked up from some local workshops. They say that they need 1 & half day to replace the coil etc.

Re: WTB: Recon or OEM Air con cooling coil for E90 335i

Hope this helps everyone

OEM cooling coil costs abt $350 - $400, Original ones cost $650 - $700

Labour will be in the region of 300 bucks.

I've finally got mine replaced with an OEM cooling coil, total damage $700+

Downtime approx 1.5 days

It's great to have an aircon that works again :)

Re: WTB: Recon or OEM Air con cooling coil for E90 335i

Is this for replacing compressor or coil? Repalcing the coil requires removal of the entire dashboard and center console, not possible to be done in half a day.
