Re: WTS E36 316i Manual

juz to check with you bro, if a deal is to be striked, will it be immediate or gotta wait for u to get your new ride? for e.g., if someones confirms with u and both parties come to an agreement of pricing, when will the transfering be done? immediate or gotta wait ?

Re: WTS E36 316i Manual

Haha, no worries, I'm ready to deal.
No need to wait til I find a new ride, I'll just use dad's car in the meantime.

It'll prob be an IL6 E36, cant get enough of these cars..:yummie:

Good choice Bro.. E36 just needs about 300hp and it will be transformed into a monster you will not believe, it's still one of the best handling mass production cars of all time.. the key to enjoying the E36 is to focus on its strengths i.e. its chassis -> engine power, and not on its weaknesses e.g. whether you spend $10 or $10,000 it'll still creak and rattle. If you focus your resources you can achieve a lot with this car.

OK enough rambling from me... :lol2:

Goodluck with the sale :)

Re: WTS E36 316i Manual

wah, jason u TLC owner....sure hopes this baby lands in good hands.

tjy for the purchase, u would need to trash out the price, insurance, transfer fees, road tax if any, loan. owner to owner sale, u will need to DIY the things yourself but if u need help, can try asking around here. transfer can be done at LTA while u will definitely need some help for the loan n insurance. good luck!!!
looking forward to another future Club Sandy member....hehe

tjy, TLC = tender loving care :lol2:

Fuel consumption's pretty gd, since mine's a 1.6l and a manual to boot.
I regularly get about 550km btw pumps. Each fill-up's about 55l thereabouts, so I'd say it's safely ard 9.5 - 10 km/l.

As for maintainence, well tt's a tough one to guesstimate.

Simple oil change with radiator flush will cost ard 250, depending on workshop and brand of engine oil. I do this at an interval of ard 10k km.

As far as ownership cost is concerned, it's pretty low. Add to tt a lower rd tax compared to larger CCs and you're getting a darn gd deal for an old BMW.

Just as a reassurance, I'd estimate tt I've spent more than 10k over the 3years swapping out wear and tear parts. So, with proper maintainence, I'd say you're gd to go for another 5yrs at least. Tt's definitely longer than the residual COE.

An IL6 will definitely give you more mod options and a completely different feel altogether...

Time has come for me to move on, actually, thanks to joon's poisonous threads, I've been inspired.

Letting go my frugal lil 316i for something a little more exciting.

Mileage's ard 280+k km.
Sapphire black with tan interior.

Comes with 18" staggered rims, from Z4. Style #108.
Custom Short Shifter Kit
Angel Eyes, DIYed myself with the help of a few bros, definitely a much cleaner and neater job than getting it done elsewhere.
Mtech II steering wheel with custom wrap and red stitching.

Engine top overhaul done ard Aug 07.
Basically spent 2k on new hoses and belts and cleaning up the cylinder head.
Recaliberated fuel injectors and changed a faulty one.
