X6 Fuel Consumption

Dear Members,

Need help to find out the rate of fuel consumption for X6 3 litre.

Am considering to get one... if the rating is reasonable.... haha...

Appreciated...

Want to get this car, fuel consumption should not be your primary consideration la (fuel consumption sure sux for this car). Anyway, fuel consumption for the Bimmer is the last thing that the German engineers have in their mind. Its all about the drive and handling, just my opinion.

+1 ... fuel consumption is the least criteria in considering this car

1. it is a SUV

2. it has a 3L engine for a drinker

i thot i read it was tested in real world at 4km/l? not sure if it is for the 3l engine or higher one...

cannot be lah. maybe hummer will do that kinda fuel economy. either that or the fuel consumption is based on traffic jam

Did a chat recently with one at the kiosk,
He did around 6-7 km/litre

With the size of this bimmer, sure does drink a little more to move it around....

Saw the consumption tag from dealer was around 10 km/L, guess is just the average.

Any X6 owner here to share ?

My colleague has one. He is only averaging 6.6km/l. This is from the on board computer. He drives 70% highway and 20% urban,

The best he ever did on North South Highway was 9.6km/l.

That's pretty heavy compared to my 3.2l M engine. Am doing 6.8km/l on urban/city driving. But then again, mine weighs 1.4T.

these days manufacturers are claiming all kinds of ridiculous fuel consumption. really brings me to wonder if they are true at all.

let me try to recall where i read it. believe it was from an auto mag commenting on the fc in real world urban driving. i still remember it cos i dreaming about owning x6 before it was launched here, then saw the price, still can dream. finally read on the fc, i woke up in cold sweat.

bimmer can differ a lot for highway and urban. my e90 on 80% highway gets me 11.6km/l. see any e90 giving this figure? :nehnehhh:

for urban driving on weekends, i take my swift. dare not even look at e90 fc cos it really sucks. tried before, it gets me around 9km/l and soooo slow to move off in traffic jams and traffic lights.

Its the heavy stock rims n tyres. I will change it if I get one.

When I got my 335i, I had to visit kiosk every 3 to 4 days. Nowadays I only visit once in 5 -7 days.

what rims r u on? suprise that consumption can vary so much with diff rims
