Your next insurance renewal will come with 3 options for you to tick or ticks:

1. Carpark is above ground level ; and/or
2. Carpark is on ground level; and/or
3. Carpark is underground.

:p

add to that, i suppose the insurer will probably load based on geographical location. additional 10% for people residing in "low-lying" areas. :wtf:

China Insurance use Postal Code in the past to quote.
Certain car staying in certain area tends to have more accident & theft.

Re: Your answer to HDB night parking woes... higher parking fee lor

I shudder to think, that the next move will be to increase HDB season parking rates drastically... so that only those willing to pay higher prices will get a lot within their own estate......

I deserve million $$$ salary.

Re: Your answer to HDB night parking woes... higher parking fee lor

Can i just give my 2 cents worth as one of those HDB season parking holder? There are days that I go home to find no lots at all although I have season parking. honestly, I don't know if the hike in the price can help but I doubt so. These people will have to park somewhere. Nowadays, I don't even get to buy season parking near my places and have to walk like 200m to get to the carpark where I park my car. It all boils down to precinct planning. I'm hoping the hike would help but the malaysian cars in the estate will continue to take up all the lots during weekends. I wonder where they all come from.

My reply to a very old post.

I used to park in this open air car park (HDB estate) and, despite the vast number of lots, its always fully taken up..... especially during those Chinese festive periods when the tentage comes up and illegal parking becomes so rampant. :( If the celebration requires such big space, SLA (or whichever govt body) should specifically allocate a space for these guys to do all the stages and tents. Its less headache for both resident car owners and also the guys organising the Chinese festive events.

Malaysian cars will inevitably come into Singapore. But, it shouldn't result in more congestion. I also agree with the parking issue. If space is limited, then there must be somewhere for these guys to park. And, it should still allow residents space to park still. Feels funny.... that after pay season parking, still need to compete with them for a lot. :'(

Agree.. But sad thing is not every MSCP have sufficient red lots.

There's a pretty popular kopitiam below the MSCP at where I park mine, so during weekends or PH, you'll see the carpark more occupied during dinner hours & we have to park our car much higher even when we're back home early.. I've seen some MSCP with full red lots at the lower levels & more levels actually. But sadly the one I'm parking at have got only 50% red lots at the lower levels, & it's really minimal red lots level nia..

Strangely, just right across the street where there's a kopitiam (with lesser crowd) below the MSCP too have got much more red lots, most probably double. What are the people in charge of these areas doing & thinking.....

Your car is safer at higher levels...

Residents can actually feedback to their MPs during meet-the-people session held weekly if they feel tt the season parking lots are not sufficient or if they have anything to voice out w regards to car park issues. I'm sure your MP will look into it and try to provide solutions or even further develop for the convenience of all residents. :D

However, if you are in an area that belongs to those that wait for you to Work and they Party then perhaps..........
