This fault message flashes on my car idrive display this afternoon while driving out for lunch. Check the coolant compartment, the level is good. The engine oil temperature was normal. Decided to continue to drive and monitor the oil temperature, everything is normal except the fault message...

Seems that many F10 have the same problem; premature failure in the engine mounting.

I send the car to PML for them to replace under warranty. Mileage at that time was 52k, if I recalled it correctly

Replaced the engine mountings for my ride yesterday at PML, everything went back to normal; vibration gone and the acceleration much smoother during the first 10 minutes.

Surprised with the short live of these mountings. I remember I only replaced the mountings for my previous ride (E60) at around 100k..

Will check with the service advisor when I send the car for servicing. Anyway, mine is 528 and has the same problem after 50k. Surprise that the mounting lasted only that long....

I have the same vibration problem @ every stoppages for the initial 10-15 minutes, the vibration reduced when I shift to parking or neutral. Once the oil temp hit the "normal" range, the vibration is gone. This problem started after 50k mark.

As PML bringing in the new 4 cylinders engines very soon, they are clearing their existing 6 cylinders stock. Was offered to trade-in my current ride and top up $143K for the highline. This comprises of $6K discount from the $254,800 list price & $105,800 for my 06/2007 iXL. Not sure whether...
