2010 Formula ONE!!!

Re: 2010 Formula ONE!!!

vettel argument is he is "ahead" and webber not giving space. should webber give space ?

Re: 2010 Formula ONE!!!

If I'm Vettel, I'll keep to my line until the corner comes when I see Webber being stubborn enuff to not give up his block.. then i'll push him away during the corner.. by the look of how it goes.. Vettel's nose will dive into the corner 1st anyway..

but again.. all these theories come out after analysing.. during race.. it's instinct and personality..

Re: 2010 Formula ONE!!!

i thought there was a team order for both to conserve fuel, no? (i think this is an indirect saying of drive your own race and don repeat the bull incident)
If so, inside Hamilton mind, he must be thinking Button defy team order and pulling one on him.
So unlike of him to cross the chequered flag without much acknowledment to the crowd, first time seeing race winner with limited facial joyous expression.Somemore a race win he wanted so badly...

i no fans of button but i must say he could had been the race winner...

Re: 2010 Formula ONE!!!

If I'm Webber.. i will give space.. although I know Vettel is most likely to overtake me.. I cant risk having the pace slowed down as there're 2 McLaren boys behind me.. but again.. if there are no McLaren boys behind.. i would rather keep my line and fight for the upcoming left hand turn.. and see whose nose shall inch out 1st..

spot on, it's a matter of time he can overtake Webber with his pace. it's kinda impatient of him to do so, some say aggression. Try telling that to a driver knowing he is the fastest of two to wait for better clearance and overtake can constipate him.Better line clearance will not be granted by any driver in front of you, you will have to beg, steal or even borrow if need be. This is competitive sport.

Based on my amateur calculation, wth 18 lap or so to go, upon his overtaking, he is able to pull a conservative 3.6 or 1.8 sec away from webber, knowing the tight margin no driver enjoy (referring to the leading 4), i will overtake earlier and extend my pace.

i agree he could been more "careful" in executing his move, if pass, this is a master stroke, if failed, damm he get ad yes he is shitting it now.

i don buy the story of teammate being infront, then can't overtake.

Longhorn, no worries, this forum about sharing of individual opinion. my 1 cts worth.

Re: 2010 Formula ONE!!!

Q: It was quite a surprise to see the two Red Bulls fighting each other, and after what happened it was even more of a shock when the two McLarens started to get involved with each other. Is that the normal race behaviour nowadays?
LH: No. We have to be sensible. I - and I know that Jenson feels exactly the same - want to win the constructors’ championship. Sure we both also want to win the drivers’ championship, but I know that we both would never do anything dangerous like touch. That is the great thing: when we are fighting with each other we have that cushion of respect so we don’t really have that problem. It’s not like with these other guys.

LMAO!!

Yup...no worries mate. Just giving my opinion. Perhaps I can convince you by giving these scenario:

1. If Vettel sat tight, very very likely Red Bull one-two.
2. Because of Vettel, McClaren one-two.

Still think Vettel did the right thing? Kekekekee...

Also, remember Chelsea's last EPL match? At the first penalty, Drogba wanted to take cos he wanted the Golden Boot award. But team decided that Lampard (believe he is the regular kicker) should take it. For the greater good.....

Re: 2010 Formula ONE!!!

Q&A with Red Bull’s Helmut Marko: We are not amused

Q: Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said he didn’t believe it was Vettel’s fault. Is this the official opinion of the team?
Helmut Marko: Well, in the situation Sebastian was in, he had no other choice than to act the way he did.

Q: Is it true that the team gave instructions to Mark Webber’s race engineer to let Sebastian Vettel pass because otherwise Lewis (Hamilton)would be able to overtake?
HM: That is not correct, because that would mean a team order. We informed Mark about the situation and it is for the driver to decide. The fact is that if Sebastian hadn’t passed he would have been overtaken by Hamilton.

This is getting very interesting..

Ham really say that...
Button did a clean overtaking, imho. Ham fought back and look at how he reali push Button wide and took back the lead

is that possible? at that juncture,IIRC he was initially from 0.4sec lead to 1.5 sec or so away from Hamilton...

football is make up of 11 player lah, best man take the role and in the penalty go.they share a common goal and therefore result.
but this is i drive mine, u drive yours, point add up then decide constructor title.
if the one behind the teamate will to concede, then it's not going to be fair to the chaser.Somemore the title challenge is still no cast in the stone.

no winner can be decide until one cross the chequered, webber took a lead under soft compound which surprises me. It was till when they will on hard, vettel truly show his pace, if vettel is not fast enough, he won't be at the first place smell webber, not to mention wheel to wheel with him. hence what's justice with i being the fastest being lay backwards and potentially exposed to overtaking from Ham. in fact the coin can be tossed around and Webber should make way for his youngest mate to be in the lead knowing he is being outpaced.

this is the problem of 1 driver seeking a repeat of 3 consecutive race win and 1 seeking to dethrone Ham to be the youngest World champ... if you ask me, Webber is right not to give in, Vettel is also right to chiet him.
The end result is he lost his plot and now he being the victim of spoiling the Bull 1-2, what if overtook successfully?

Re: 2010 Formula ONE!!!

Re: 2010 Formula ONE!!!

it ease to sit and analysis who's should ans shouldn't. whatever happen its a pass, acknowledge and learn from the mistake. i like what Helmut Marko had said in the interview.

Q: Will you change something in the future to avoid such an incident happening again?
HM: Well, first of all we always told them that it is a strict no-go to go to the wall with each other. Whatever happens they always have to give room to the other. I hope that all the people involved will think a bit more in the future before acting.
