Re: 316I, anyone know this?

I think i bought over this car.
Well its not in a good condition, while i got it off at 10k.
I have prepared to set aside another 3-5k for repair.
Body wise its still in okay condition.
Some cosmetic needs attention but overall I am glad to be back with e36.
I need more info from the si-fu's here also.

Engine.
1. Sludges
2. Camshaft + sensor fail

I have bought its cam lifter, camshaft, cam sensor, water pump, timing belt and waiting for the garage (Euro Auto) to order its gasket

Another thing, this car has petrol leak behind and i have been tracing its originality.
The dealer that i went to doesn't want me to take them to my regular workshop and i backed off at one point. But recently they allow me to and the car was handed over to me.

I love the e36 and love to drive stick. This would be my beater and also will be used for occasional Malaysian roadtrip for me.

Do you guys think i got a good deal?

Good deal? well i guess that's subjective.

I recently got an E36; my idea of a good deal is that the 18 year old car is in good running condition. Get a diagnostic check at one of the sponsors. Enjoy!
