Re: 335 vs GTR --> opinions pls

I think Nissan really made a very impressive performance car given the price of the GTR. It does have impressive peformance numbers. Looks n others aside, how many cars priced at half that of porsche 911 Turbo can match that 911?

I mean if u wanna get cars like 335 n GTR, u shld forget about FC, maintenance and such. Else, get a Toyota Wish.

I was impressed with the GTR's engine note, but after all while n seeing quite a few 'beng' versions on the road, I kinda like this car lesser n lesser. I parked next to one the other day. Its like a car that has been run thru a photocopier machine with 20% magnfication. Everything is 20% bigger - 4 x XL exos tips, 20in rims/tyres(what for?) and that hideous front 'grille'. Compared to say an M6, it doesnt have a sexy look but more of a badass look.

OK GTR owners can shoot me now(armoured suit on).

Thanks ABD. I'm still viewing a few cars...yet to make a decision. Cheers.

GTR

+ smooth, blistering quick, easy to drive (considering the power)
- maintenance costs (gearbox oil change per 10,000 km $1,600), 20" runflats per tyre is $1,300 (cost of one rim !!!), suspected gearbox issue if launch too often
.

There is a new gearbox oil for GTR now which cost $628 per change, and the latest pricing I got for a set of 20" runflat is $2900. The run flat can last you at least 20000km plus 1 trackday. So it ain't that bad after all.

I am into power, the rest are secondary and for me I will take the GTR anytime even over an M3 (which I tested recently).

Re: 335 vs GTR --> opinions pls

Thanks for your input Scud.

As for that new gearbox oil and tires, are they readily available in Singapore etc?

What about non-runflats? Presumably they would also be slightly cheaper no?

Cheers,
B
