Ok I'm sure it'll sell like hot cakes but there's something odd about the exterior design. Is the drop-down bonnet too jarring? Or is it trying to be both curvy and have strong lines?

From Autoblog pixs, there were pixs showing the gear knob like the 116/118/316i so we should also expect 416i/418i in Sin?.

Too bad some of the nice prototype features were removed like the drl etc.

Not sure if we are thinking of the same, but I do find the bonnet weird too. Like a cliff suddenly drop down

Hmm I guess so that whenever one thinks of bmw coupes/convertibles will be 6, 4 and future 2
But then there is the 1 as well.
3 will just be the sedan and estate

yeah, for finding a reason to substantiate it. anyhow as long as it helps to generate more orders and revenue for the company, it is the right thing to do.
