I will play devil's advocate here.


If the situation is as bad as what TS said..re being fined and penalised in points by TP and coupled with the taxi driver's claims of such huge amounts...TS comes in here feeling only "indignant" and to ask for advice???? I would have become delirious.

I venture to add that any SANE person who recieved such claims and charges would have camped outside his/her lawyer's office the night before to ask what can he/she do about it...

Literally, u could be the devil's lawya.... :yikess:

If long ago I know such incident exists... i would have save money open car workshop, study hard be a lawyer & get a doctor gf... nabe too late too.

TP then hits me with this 6 points and $200 fine for careless driving? c'mon. where is the fairness in all this?

Any good advice would be well appreciated. Legal advice would be even better.

I am sure TP would have called you up for investigation. I take it that you were not able to justify your position, hence TP recorded you as guilty.

Police report was made becoz tat so called passenger wanted to claim medical..... therefore once police report was made... and IF u got points and fine.... = you are at fault.......

Your ins no need fight liao........ sure lose...... :roll:

You can still fight. But you now have to fight TP's decision first.

And that is meaningful only if you have new evidence.

Rule of thumb: when involved in an accident, always handle the other party like they are the biggest devil in the world. Trust is non-existence; mutual agreement must be in black-and-white. Talk money, not compassion.

This's exactly what happened to me. Uncle motorcycle knock my rear 4 yrs ago , fight the case till early this year then he run road . Can't conclude, his insurance refuse to indemnify him. Suay like F &%k, Kena knocked rear still can't claim 3 party .

vypez, did you stop after the incident and take photo, then report the incident to insurer? Or sign anything with the taxi driver?

If not, then it's his words against your words.... must fight it out liao.....

(I presume no video evidence exists in this case.)

i stopped to take photos, and to report the incident to insurer, then i found out that he made a police report so i had to make one too.

This type of thing you should have take it seriously. sorry I am not sure about the taxi driver...

to me such thing can be "fake" accident from passenger to a workshop claim specialist, lawyer to doctor.

yes, now i know. i thought small brush, dont matter. moreover he was hostile when he got out of his vehicle so i took photos, got his no. plate, and i left as my insurer said it was okay as long as i got his number plate down in photo to prove i didnt hit and run.

thats the thing. TP didnt even call me up!
