Just had my hpfp changed today. Twice foc during warranty with PML and now out of my own pocket.
Close to 1k with all in.

Total 3 times since nov 07.

By the way bro, u can remain stock and still get jb4.
I did that for mine after warranty had ended.. and trust me, there is a difference!

Makes me wonder why I did not get it earlier.

Thanks for the input. Wah piang! This HPFP issue is a real problem isn't it, and an expensive one too! Will a pre-purchase inspection by a reputable workshop will be able to detect if.... (1) HPFP going to go kaput soon, and (2) wastegate got issues and will need major repair/replacement, and (3) car is a lemon and better not buy?

for N54/N55 just budget $1k to change HPFP every year.
if no up lorry, consider it bonus and can open 2 bottles XO ...

Perhaps you can google HPFP and you will see hundreds of threads on it..after reading some of them, you will sian liao and kuai kuai buy NA engine car..huhrur

The problem is once you've gone turbo, you won't want to go NA again...that's my view. What really disappointments me is that BMW just can't seem to fix the problems once and for all.. Pretty shocking. Is buying a late 2009 or 2010 N54 any better??

As for buying from PPSL, they're damn expensive and they offer insulting amounts for your used car. But guess their 1 year warranty is "priceless”! Kekekek!

really depend on luck. if you check usa forum, new N55 owners also kena HPFP

I changed hpfp at Munich. Comes with 2 years warranty.

So nearly 1k for extra two years of hpfp problem free. 500 bucks per year. Not too xiong I supposed.

Same here changed it 3 times on my 07 Apr car. Last one has been on for 1.5 yrs no issues.

The dealer called me after he sold the car.
He told me the new buyer complained car no power. Heehee

Coz dealer only spent 5000 to fix the ABS pump but never fix hPFP.
Poor buyer.
I bro, never try to sell in this forum.
