Hi gracieg,

no need SB liao.......

BOSS got ECU tuning for your engine for now.......................................................(MTL)

cheers (sorry for being poison)

Yes! I'm getting my 320i coupe tuned tomorrow. :D

Gracieg: Bo pian people want to be jerk, they will be jerk. Quite sad can buy BMW then cheat people of a few hundred dollar thing. Unless you want to get a few big bros to go with you and "settle" with this guy, there's not much you can do.

Anyway there's much better things that you can fit onto your car:

ECU tuning, as mentioned earlier. I know Boss and Just For Cars can do this, whether LCI engine or not.
New exhausts so it sounds fiercer. BMW now got performance exhausts that sounds quite sweet. Not very ex also, and not much noisier than stock.
Induction intakes (Gruppe M or Simota).
Coilovers. KW if you got $$$, otherwise Weitec. :)
Pivot 3Drive or Velocity (upmarket version of SB)
New brake rotors, pads and lines for all wheels. Brembo if you got the $$$.
New 19" rims and non-run flat tires.
Damn swee body kits like diffusers and performance side skirts.

Woohooo MTL!

Re: Advice Needed

Hi gracieg,

I've recently purchased my E60 from direct owner too, fortunately he is a pretty decent chap. (He even cleaned up the whole car the day we met up for handover.)

It is more important to know the "actual condition" of the car because most dealers will have plenty of tricks to cover up any defects.

Anyway for your case, just treat it as a lesson learned and there is absolutely no need to feel sore about SB and cost/need to touch-up bumper.

These are small matters comparing the value of purchase.

It is more important to enjoy & have fun with your topless ride ;)

Re: Advice Needed

don't waste time getting angry....should have jio jio hitmee, justin etc to shop with u mah....boh jio...keke
anyway, just take it as a 100-200 bucks lesson; ie the resale value of the sprint booster.
next time, get everything down in writing, including mods

Re: Advice Needed

Small matter, but then again, if car was agreed to be sold AS IT IS when test driven, SB should not be removed (on agreement at point of sale).....

What's the story from the other side of the coin? Perhaps the previous owner can explain the removal of SB?

Re: Advice Needed

i guess what is the pursuit here is not so much of monetary terms but integrity ...sometimes no matter how immaterial the amount is, you would want some justice end of the day....its just like u giving tips at a restaurant..small amount..but if service sucks...wud u even wana pay? would appear the seller is trying his luck here....

I have all the agreements written down as well as service receipt to prove the dates.

Seller claimed he felt SB caused gear change and pickup during accelerating to be jerky plus affect FC so he got it deactivated. But he only removed it after I put deposit for car (at this point I believe purchase is considered to be made). :liar:

Irrelevant how he felt...... he should leave it to the new owner to decide.....

Unless he specified that amongst all the mods, he is not willing to include the SB in the transaction.... else, I see no reason why the SB is removed......

Exactly what I told him, it's up to me to decide!

He argued that it's not up to me, and he was being nice he even paid $25 to get my ecu reset..

Do I have a case for this is I really wanna fight ? Not forgetting how he took advantage of us during the entire sale process. He wanna go law by law so I'll now go law by law with him.

Re: Advice Needed

just move on lor, treat it as a lesson. Most importantly is enjoy your new ride !

Re: Advice Needed

Too cheap an item to fight thru lawyer ....waste time & $ just name the seller here...

No need to spend a single cent. Let him explain himself here. Frankly, I could not see the logic of him deciding on the state of the car with that piece of hardware on.........

Perhaps "ask" him to explain his stance here?
