Re: angels eyes & HID

maybe you should state more details..

like wad brand of angel eyes and HID?

and colour temp??

Re: angels eyes & HID

Hi fredrick.... Expensive is subjective to the brand... If you get PIA, it's ex.

You may want to contact Steven from Bimshop, he has quite competitive rate. I have a friend that bring in parts too, but you need to wait for shipment.

Waohooo... Taiwanese thingy at premium pricing :lol2:

Shop around, you should be able to get more favourable pricing :yummie:

Re: angels eyes & HID

i don't think u need to spend 600+ on hid.
my guess is they will just put on a hid kit, not real modding of the lights to be HID.
for few hundred bucks u can get those taiwanese ones, add 100 more u can get philips
but not too sure whether u will see error msgs on your display though

I also did a check and was quoted slighlty less than $800, including angle eye headlamp (Taiwan), Xtec HID conversion kit (with 6K or 8K HID bulb), BMW error free module and labour cost. However, it is currently out of stock.

This looks like a cost effective way to mod to xenon (the negative side is it is not LTA compliant)

Re: angels eyes & HID

hi im driving an e90 i '07, previously headlight was known to blow many times (previous owner mentioned somethin due to wiring) but was under warranty during then when fixed. however it just blew again (yea right after warranty over) and im wondering where i can go to resolve this...i have the intention to:

1) change to HID/angel eyes if possible (hopefully everything under $300 and legal of cos), dont wish to spend so much since its already 3 yrs old....

2) or do i just change bulb for less than $50? and where is recommended?

im totally clueless abt the e90 as ive never owned one prior to this so thx alot.

Re: angels eyes & HID

bros, just wondering.. even though its not LTA approved, i noticed during inspection the approved lights will also fail.. so no diff right??

Re: angels eyes & HID

if the ride comes with projectors, its not too bad....can always play cheat with a lower temp hid bulb during inspection.
the only snag is when the ride comes without projectors where the light from the hid ends up shooting everywhere just like alot of jap rides which have add on hids

Hey E92-Lighting, I have ever toyed with the idea of purchasing an angel-eye set from the US but something tells me that LHD (US) and RHD (Asia) headlights cannot be used interchangeably. The projection is wrong and will blind on-coming traffice, correct?

Any comments on this?

Re: angels eyes & HID

Nearly bought 1 set E90 OEM Xenon Headlamp from ebay, the German guy was asking for 400 Euro, inclusive of Assembly, Ballest, HID bulbs. Later learnt that it cannot be used in Singapore due to the beam pattern is different.
