I highly recommend Ah Lye for dent repairs as well. I know him personally, he does a great job!

Didn't do a good job for my car previously and charged me just as much. Went back to show they didn't do a good job on my bonnet (after 1 month), they just brush it off, tell me it's like that after 1 month. tell me my steel bonnet made of aluminium, cannot repair fully. tell me what they want me to do. They sent me to the paint shop they used (down the street) and all they could do was try and buff off their mistake. No use. I had to go to another shop to redo the entire bonnet.

I'll only go there to roll fenders. that's all.

But i tried his shop out and they removed dents-many-many for me at a reasonable price.

Re: Another HORROR-workshop find

hearsay that this BMW Specialist workshop owner split from another bmw workshop from the upper level

Re: Another HORROR-workshop find

Hi All - just to chip in. I've been to a BMW specialist workshop at amk autopoint several times from aircon repair, servicing to tranny oil change. Recently I switched to Speedhaus purely because it is nearer to my work.

During the few times at that amk autopoint, I did not encounter any incompetency. I thought the guys were quite knowledgeable and reasonable. Helpful included.

But, I am not sure if we are referring to the same workshop here.

It is weekend.... Hope you all enjoy the great sunshine this morning!!!

Re: Another HORROR-workshop find

I din know even know there were bmw specialists there in amk auto pt...

Good point. It is hard to qualify. All I would say is that there are equipment, tools and technicians.

Workmanship quality depends not on nationality but on training.

Re: Another HORROR-workshop find

Guess its more like branding. Generally, chinese brand are frowned on compared to...maybe german brand.

Given all things constant, a german mech will sort of give me more confident compared to a chinese mech.

Why do you think so?

Re: Another HORROR-workshop find

Like i said, branding. More often not, just perceived value.
