OK, first impressions of the car.
At the PML delivery centre
Unfortunately, because my SE kinda helped me 'expedite' my delivery (it was either Thursday 8th March, or Vesak Day/Thaipusam/Good Friday 2013, 2014, 2015...), I was ushered into one of the smaller side delivery suites - and the place was somewhat smaller than the suite where I took delivery of the F02 in January of last year.
Still, that was just a small blip which was very quickly forgotten when the doors opened to reveal my spanking new, freshly washed & polished Carbon Black 640i M-sport - without sunroof. It was love at first sight. The effect of the spotlights in the delivery suite really showed off the iridescent quality of Carbon Black. At one angle, it looks midnight black - at another, it looks a deep shade of purple blue. Even my wife (who's a diehard Merc fanatic) had to acknowledge that the color was a good choice.
After checking out the paintwork for scratches (yes, I'm damn ngeow), I checked out the rest of the car. I love the diffuser, and the fact that my exhaust is painted in chrome black. I'm so ngeow, I got the SE to remove the exhaust extractor so I could take a photo of the back
- gotta make her work hard for her commission, right? hehehe.
Then, I checked out the wheels. I had specified the 373M 20" rims, and they look great! Except that the rims were a bit wet! My SE said it was due to the washing that they just did for my car, I think it's
just a bad job done by PML's detailers.
Still, I like those rims very much ... and and painted black brake calipers are a very nice touch.
