But the squeaks started to sound and the ride became harder as she matured into a MILF just before I broke up with her 2 weeks back ...

So, factors to consider:

a) ride - how 'bouncy' is the JIC Cross on the 'softest' setting? Or the middle setting?

b) height - to drop by 1.5 fingers i.e. 25-30mm depending on how fat one's fingers are? Or?

c) which leads me to the other question - what will the lowered ride be able to clear? What will it not be able to clear?

d) and even if the front clears swee swee, the sideskirts will kena because I angle the hump dead slow? Like that is as good as LPPL what - front clear side cannot clear.

Re: Ceramic Brake Pads & Steel-Braided Hoses for my Bavarian Girlfriend

The 'plastic surgery' for my Girl from Bavaria continued this morning with some brakepads & brake hoses transplants for her dainty feet.

Been meaning to replace the stocks with ceramic pads and steel-braided hoses from the start, just like what I did to my Italian Bella previously. The stocks are ok, but the braking distance is rather long. Not good enough for hard driving and late brakers like me, or so I have been classified as by my friends haha. I didn't want metallic pads like the Tar-ox ones previously on my Italiano - they ate up the rotors quickly and squeaked a hell lot.

But looking for ceramic pads that fit my Fraulein was more challenging that I thought. Even the steel-braided hoses too - Goodrich didn't have them unless you 'custom-make' a set.

Eventually found some that fit ...

23. My German girlfriend, apprehensive once more as I drove her to the garage and let strange men in overalls hoist her up. One last look at her legs before the transplant:

These are EBC Redstuff Ceramic Brake Pads baby, they're from the UK (I'm sorry I couldn't find anything for you from your hometown), but they're really good and should help to ensure that your chrome heels don't get dirty that easily too. And aren't they pretty in red?

25. Then there are these Hel's Steel-Braided Brake Hoses as well. They're from the UK too, and although they're more famed for their lines for motorbikes, I'm sure they do good stuff for cars as well:

I also found the m-sport suspension a bit bouncy, especially when you are on 140-160km/h on NorthSouth Highway where the roads are a bit uneven.

Hows your new ceramic brake pads doing ? Any significant compromise on braking distance ? The brake dust is quite annoying, even with my new Performance Brakes, they are the same. Guess its the way it is to ensure good braking, No complaints, just scrub scrub and scrub. Spent 2 hours yesterday to bring my babe to show room shine after polluting her to dust and mud over the weekends !

Well it POISONED ME the most :helpp!:

I guess I never appreciated my ex Italian Slut's lowered Sachs Suspension when I first met her coz she already had 'em on. So when your arse has been used to a lowered and firmer drive for the past 6 years, it's a bit of a shocker trying to make that transition to a bouncier ride. Both have their pros and cons lah. Which means ... KWs for me soon? :sneaky:

The new ceramic brake pads are LOVELY! Much much grippier and quieter than the stock ones, then again I have the steel braided lines to go along with them so ... let's put it this way, I brake much more confidently now. Before, I would had to brake much earlier - it's not that the stock brakes are bad, it's just not very reassuring during hard driving.

Just to illustrate my point, just that Saturday night after I fixed the ceramic pads on, I picked up a white 325 Cab driven by a tai tai with her son in tow, and happened to be on her tail. I wasn't tailgating her or what, she kept weaving in and out of the left and right lanes, undecided on whether to stick to the former or the latter while I was in the right all the way. Naturally, I had to give way to her everytime she decided that the spot in front of me and the other car was better than her current position in the left. Some of you may wonder why I even gave way to her at all - trust me, no offense, but when you have a speeding tai tai / auntie driving in front of you, you better keep at least 2 car lengths away from her, in case she suddenly decided to jam her brakes simply because she was following too close to the car in front of her. I've had a bad experience with one before, but that another story.

As expected, that moment came when the rear brake lights of the 325 Cab came on hard suddenly - she had to avoid a rear end collision with this stupid Chervolet in front of her who suddenly decided to turn right into the entrance of a condo without seeing the need to slow down and signal. I thought I wouldn't be able to stop in time even though I was like 2 lengths behind. Amazingly, the ceramic pads and steel hoses did their jobs with minimum fuss (and noise), and I didn't even have to jam my foot down on the brakes. I even had room to filter out to the left to overtake the both of them in one smooth motion. Good stuff, I tell you!

I can't comment much on the brake dust bit yet coz I sent Ms Sexy Black Dress in for a wash and polishing on Sunday. But I promise not to wash her for this whole week, and report on the brake dust situation to you by the end of it!
