Back to bimmer again

Hi everyone,

I used to drive a 335i but sold it in July 2010. Have been through 3 different cars since (yes, each lasting 6 months. not proud of this) but missed the bmw ride. I just got myself a used 630ci. Feels good to be back.

I find the suspension of the 630ci alittle soft. When the car goes over humps, sometimes the hump hits the undercarriage. Is this normal? Will swapping to stiffer coil springs solve this issue?

Hope to get some advice. Thanks!

Re: Back to bimmer again

Welcome, give kw v3 coilovers a try... should solve your soft problem... Humps have to still go over slow though but should clear most without issues.

Welcome back Bro. :)

All cars are equal. But some cars are more equal than others.

Hi offshore,

welcome back to BMW shore.........

KW V3 rocks..........
cheers

Re: Back to bimmer again

The KW V3 sounds like a plan. But i understand that activating the sport button in the 630ci will stiffen the ride (i.e., damping rate adjusted). If i were to install the KW V3 coil springs on my standard shocks, will it work properly or do i also have to upgrade my shocks?
