update!!
i've been having a hard time finding a suitable location for our bbq.
i tried getting chalets and bungalows at changi - all fully booked.
i've tried booking the poolside rooms at certain hotels - not allowed to have bbqs.
i've dismissed having it at ecp because the pits there aren't inviting and there isn't any shelter should it rain.
SO.
i've two suitable locations shortlisted.
1) nus pgp
these are bbq pits at the nus prince george's park residences. there are ample parking lots, and no curfew. the ambience is alright, something like a condo's recreational area, but without the pool.
2) ntu
there's a pit on the roof of one of the buildings. nice view of the whole ntu campus. this one has a curfew at 11pm. since we're having drinks, we'd have to leave the pit at 11pm and retreat to an air-conditioned meeting room to continue with our evening.

does anyone have any suggestions? do let me know by tonight. i'd like to confirm the booking as soon as possible.

i sincerely hope that (knowing you people are of a higher social status) you will respect his home and it's surroundings by cleaning up after yourselves and treating it like you would treat your own home and not some ecp chalet.
parking around his area would require a little lot hunting as it is a landed property neighborhood. i'm sure i don't have to elaborate on proper parking practices. you guys love your cars very much

pls note that u CANNOT park at the banglow. u guys need to park outside the lane(carmichael), as bbq is gonna be done at the drive way.
Pls keep the place clean, as we need to clear up after bbq.
Rubbish bags will be placed around the area.
Smokers pls throw the buts in a cup of water befor throwing them into the rubbish bag. DO NOT throw on floor or grass
Try not to enter the house, as my dad does not like to be disturbed.
I will leave a door open for ppl who wants to go toilet
