best time deposit for sgd?

hi guys,

understand some of you guys are dealing with financial trade, can advise me a any good bank with good interest rates?

it seems the step up time deposit from anz bank not bad? i will leave stan chart out since already have a esaver account.

and im dont have millons of sgd or 100k sgd, so wish to made it work a little bit harder for me. no investment products as not keen.

my concern is to have 100% prinicpal protection, tenor 1yr or 18months.

apperciate any guru advised.

my findings ... the highest interest rate for sgd fixed deposit (12-18 months tenure)

maybank = min $20k, 0.9%
rhb = min $100k, 0.95%

there are promo from time-to-time so rates offered could be different.

just for your info ... based on spore gov regulation, each depositor is only guaranteed $50K if the bank close shop ...

So, if you really have a lot of money, best is to open $50K in as many banks as possible?

i always question people who will wannt put FD at 1%......there is zero sense in it. u can stay liquid n still make smelly smelly 3%

hellboy i understand where u r coming from. if u really need 1 yr...then just go with the indian bank. 1% on 50k is 500 bux interest fyi.

I m no banker. To stay liquid, l leave it in CIMB saving a/c 0.8% per annum. That is 0.2% worst off than FD which requires commitment.

just heard news this morning from class95 the icici bank interest rates its 1.65% seems quite good. but but...indian bank hmmm and also what about this? ANZ Singapore - ANZ Step-Up Time Deposit

interest is at 1.2% thought but it seems to allowed me to stay semi liquid since every 3 months cycle

and pls guide me how to have smelly smelly 3%?? haha i also want to drive lambo

for me its yes, it may be hassle but that just my own thinking nia. that why i leave out stanchart in my earlier post coz already have an account with them haha.

now adays all bank seems to have a lot of underlaying issued...
