Both boys were around 10-11 yr old. They were classmates. They were never to be found. Some say they witnessed them in some parts of Thailand years after... without limbs and couldn't speak (tongues cut) and they were operating as beggars on the street. A real sad case. I can still remember their photos in front pages of the newspapers.
As for the recent child abductions in HK, they were believed to be the work of the PRCs. There were 2 cases of near abductions in HK. One was as old as 6 yr old. I guess they had travelled far to Spore to try their luck. Parents please take care of your kids whether it is right outside the school gates, shopping malls or Universal Studio. Don't let these bastards get their chances to operate their human smuggling rings.

Are the police doing anything yet?
DrK;784549 said:Talking about malls... there was this sensational case of James Bulger back in the early 2000s in the UK. Bulger was a 4-yr old kid wandering lost from his mum in a mall. He was abducted by 2 pre-teen boys, tortured, murdered and left on the railtrack to die. The nation was shocked by this crime due to age of the perpetrators and the evilness humans can gather into their souls at such young age. Family upbringing and violent video games were also conveniently suggested as attributes but evidence never substantiated this.
Now the best part is that the 2 offenders never got life sentences. They were released after 15 years of 'rehab', yes, not even in a proper jail. When released, they were in their late 20s... still plenty of opportunity to live their lives.... while the dead toddler was brutally terminated and gone/forgotten. Sick justice from a developed country, if you ask me...

The law views them as "influenced" and not "intended to do so" given their age. Bad as it may sound but many kids are like that..influenced by society.
Sg has this law as well but we blame everything on PAP
DrK;784839 said:I read about this legal clause too from the papers then. But it is the aftermath of the release that shocked me the most. They were given new identities to protect themselves from harm (many people were out to take revenge on these 2).
So it is like after a crime, we put them in a holiday chalet. Feed them, educate them, release them and give them a brand new life. Poor 4-year old kid was dead without even knowing why. This is justice that had gone overboard and haywire. Very unacceptable.

Unless u see it being done, then u can hoot the living daylights out of the fella and then scream some unintelligent things like "parking queue so long u kidnap people's kid" or "HDB price so high u all still come here" etc etc... usually nobody listens and just watches u hoot the kidnapper. As for video cam, no worries, confirm got someone filming and it will be broadcasted even b4 police arrive to pull u away from killing the kidnapper
