Hi,
seeking the opinion of the BMW community, which of the two models will you buy if you have the money.

Re: BMW 325iA vs BMW 520iA

too many factors to consider mate.

1) budget
2) needs
3) image
4) drivability

list goes on.....

Re: BMW 325iA vs BMW 520iA

325i .

Re: BMW 325iA vs BMW 520iA

325i unless u need the space

Re: BMW 325iA vs BMW 520iA

325i.

A no brainer (at least for me). Engine's the cue.

Re: BMW 325iA vs BMW 520iA

I switched from 3 series to 5 series 7 weeks ago and here's my findings:

a. 5 series offer better luxury and roomier in the interior
b. 5 series seem more prestigious in outlook
c. 5 series being heavier is more stable at high speed and less bumpy while crusing
d. 5 series, being slightly longer is more difficult to park
e. 5 series, being higher is more difficult to wash

I can continue and it would be almost endless. Take note there is no Right or Wrong answers. It is individual preference and functionality that matters. It depends on owner's desire; whether power or comfort, etc.

Re: BMW 325iA vs BMW 520iA

think really depends on what you need it for. i would choose the 5 because i need to install a child seat. rear seating space for the 3 seems quite small.

Re: BMW 325iA vs BMW 520iA

520 bc better resale bigger space. but if u want a more powerful ride than 325. problem in singapore is that the moment the cc is higher its more difficult to sell.

Re: BMW 325iA vs BMW 520iA

same as the other bro... 6 IL engine is the main consideration, hence 325iA...

if its 325iA or 525iA, then it would be different.... but the price difference would be :yikess:

If you need the space and power then you should consider the 525i :)

If you are single or married without kid then 325i will be NICE :)

Hi All Lao Jiao,
Sorry to post this new question here but i've been out of the forum for many months and am unable to post a new thread.
New an urgent feedback from any kind Beemer Souls here.

Was Just buzzed my PML that they're having a stripped down bare base 320 model to sell by today's deadline.
SE told me i need to confirm by tommorrow. Price is $107,800 (new face lifted model) but no dual climatic aircon, and the dials are different. also no leather but synthetic leather.
Last Dec 2008, one of the SE said price was $116k (list of $131,000).

Now is $107,800 (list also same at $131,000).

I still need to sell off my existing Jap car (2 years old mazda 3).

Would anyone of you think that this is a good deal at $107,800? :)

Please help and advise....

Thanks a bunch!
Bonsoir :)

would take 325 over 520 as well. think the 520 is underpowered.

wow - $107.8k! That's almost a fire sale!

Re: BMW 325iA vs BMW 520iA

$107k is cheap. But i am a sucker for all the missing options...

i will be torn for a decision, but i suspect i will pass it on in the end. In the second hand market, without those "basic" options, people will wack the resale price down by a lot.

my 2 cents worth

Re: BMW 325iA vs BMW 520iA

agree..unless you intend to drive for 10 years, the resale value will be close to rubbish levels for all the missing specs...more reasons for dealers/buyers to junk your price.

Re: BMW 325iA vs BMW 520iA

Totally agree with the rest! PML is able to offer such price by stripping some of the parts thus reducing the OMV, ultimately they still make as much from from the lower price.

Frankly I think the difference isn't very much with the options in but they will bring you extra pleasure driving the car. Don't think it's a good bargain.

Just my 2 cents worth...
